Surrender

When life is presenting us with challenges and obstacles, it is easy to see negatives. It is easy to feel overwhelmed and confused, confuddled and discombobulated. Yet, if we can take a step back and look at our lives objectively, it is much easier to see solutions where before we could only see problems. The saying ‘not seeing the wood for the trees’, is one I often use, yet it is easy to say that from a neutral or abstract perspective. When life is challenging us head on, is there any choice but to be in the midst of it,

Joy & Pain

Recent celestial activity has been intense to say the least, and many of us have felt the change and transformation first hand. In some ways, life feels like a wrestling match at the moment – lots of pathways, choices and avenues to take; yet a deep feeling that making a choice is too difficult or testing. It is almost as though we are in the space beyond our normal, everyday rational selves. The mundane and routine choices and decisions that we all make everyday seem out of our reach, and beyond our rapidly shifting perspectives. Life goes on of course,

Reaching New Heights

From my Summer Newsletter: The Summer Solstice 2009 is a very special day. The Solstice is a special day every year, but this year there is just so much going on! The Sacred Dance between Neptune, Jupiter and Chiron continues (with all three of these planets in conjunction in retrograde). Pluto remains retrograde, and as well as the Sun reaching it’s highest point in the sky, there are a plethora of double conjunctions including the Sun and Vesta, Venus and Mars, Juno and Uranus, Ceres and Saturn. Many of us have already been aware of the intense shifts in energy

The Sun

We are fast approaching the Summer Solstice on the 21st June; therefore the solar force is very strong at the moment. It is an important time to re-connect to our solar energy – our individuality. The energy is building up to a very special solstice this year – more on this later this week. Today, let’s think about the Sun and its role in our lives. The Sun shows us the unlimited potential of our growth. It is the centre and life giver to our Solar System, it is the source of all life as we know it, and within

The Sacred Dance Continues… Part 3

As discussed last week, there is a special triple conjunction in Aquarius at this time. Chiron, Neptune and Jupiter continue their sacred dance through the Heavens, and today Jupiter moves retrograde… Jupiter is the planet of growth and expansion, luck and possibilities. Whilst in retrograde, these qualities are internalised to help each of us to explore our full potential and to realise just how much we do have in life. It is all too easy to focus on lack and those things we either don’t have or can’t have. Yet, in order to truly understand Jupiter, we need to be

Planets Aligned

What makes a perfect moment? What decides that the time is right for one to make a decision, to take action or to be passive? From a planetary or astrological perspective there are lots of indications we can glean from the position of the planets at any particular time, and many people rely on this to make life-changing decisions. Indeed many monarchs, politicians and other powerful people have consulted astrologers over the years. The planets at the moment are certainly pressing buttons for many of us, and helping us to let go of those things which are holding us back

Facing Our Fears

There have been several occasions this week that time seems to have stood still. It was like seeing the world move into slow motion and come to a stop – albeit a very brief pause. In this micro-second, life moved into much sharper focus. It was as though the lens in which we see the world was being changed and in that fraction of a second those of us who are ‘more aware’ were able to see this happening. That shift in awareness or consciousness seems to be the result of the continuing triple alignment of Neptune, Jupiter and Chiron,

Rule Number 6

Two prime ministers were sitting in a room. Suddenly the door burst open and an aide ran in with an urgent message, tearing her hair out with anxiety. The host Prime Minister calmly turned to her and said, “Melissa, don’t forget Rule Number 6.” Immediately the aide relaxed, smiled and left the room. A few minutes later a junior minister rushed into the room, all worked up about some issue. “Jonathon,” cautioned the Prime Minister, “Don’t forget Rule Number 6.” At which the minister too was pacified and departed cheerily. It happened a third time, as it does in such

May Horoscopes

Aries You have been finding it hard to see the wood for the trees lately as your mind has been lost in a thick blanket of fog, and this has left you feeling uncertain and unsure about your life – this is not a position you often find yourself in, so you have been feeling – quite understandably – anxious about your path ahead.
