Aries
♈
Looking back on 2012, it seems clear that your life has shifted a great deal in the past twelve months. Looking forward to 2013, the same can be said for what lies ahead! Life has been a whirlwind on many levels, and through the chaos you have re-connected to your Truth, strength and vision; this has inspired you to expand your consciousness in order to open up to living the best life possible on all levels of your existence.
As you look around you and survey the scene of your life, you could be forgiven for feeling a little lost in the centre of a giant swirling mass of shift and change. Yet, when you go deeper within, despite the shifting sands and the changing scenery, you are feeling calmer and more centred than ever before. It seems that you have found your own unique way to ride the waves of shift and to empower yourself as a result. This takes faith, belief and trust, and you have stopped searching for these in external ‘fixes’ and remedies, and have instead realised that you have it within yourself to ‘fix’ your Self.
Such a massive shift is likely to leave you feeling a little overwhelmed as to what happens next, but at the same time, you feel happier to trust the flow rather than push against the currents. So, whilst there are aspects of your life which still seem blurred and out-of-focus, there are two reasons for this: firstly, you are not ready to hone in on them yet, and secondly, you have already moved beyond them, and because so much has happened in such a short space of time, the details have merged into this giant swirling mass, making it hard for you to make much sense of the experience. In a way, you are split between these two reasons, the past is behind you, but the future has yet to reveal the ‘bigger picture’ to you.
Of course, this is frustrating and irksome, for you are Aries, and you are not for sitting, watching and waiting! Yet, the fires within you are not simply about rush, rush, rush, for they also inspire your creativity and spirituality, and it seems that it is when you pause or connect to the stillness, that your inspiration comes fully to life enabling you to see your life from a brand new perspective. In a way, you are tied up in layer upon layer of conundrum and paradox, for how you can be still, when you are in the middle of a swirling heaving mass of shift? How can you be creative when you feel under pressure to create change and make decisions?
So many questions; the frustration is palpable and very real. It therefore seems important for you to begin 2013 by taking out a little ‘quiet time’ when you can sit and find the stillness within you that lies at the heart of the chaos. Within this stillness, you will not only find a greater sense of peace and ‘knowing’, but you will also begin to gain clarity when it comes to what happens next in your life.
You are a creative soul, so be creative! Use your visionary tendencies to create, shape and re-define your life, your path and your destiny. Some may say that destiny is set in stone, but you intuitively know that you are the master/mistress of your own destiny, and you have a say as to what happens next. Therefore, open up to the power and Truth within, and feel your sense of Self moving into clearer and sharper focus. You are a passionate soul, so it shouldn’t be hard for you to tap into the fire and passion within in order to channel this into re-shaping your life from the inside, out.
2013 looks set to be a year of personal empowerment and breakthrough for you on a great many levels of your life; those dreams and goals that have lain silent and unspoken, start to rise up towards the surface seeking the light like tiny shoots bursting through the earth in the first days of spring. What once seemed impractical, impossible or out of your reach, now seems less so as you open up to not only thinking outside of the box, but you are now ready to throw the box away and re-write the rulebook of your life.
With such a powerful focus on continued shift, it seems important for you to take care of your own personal energy balance: from the foods you eat, to the number of hours you work, you need to find your own way of achieving balance. By pushing your boundaries too far and not listening to your inner voice to ease off of the accelerator, you have, in the past, found yourself feeling ‘burned out’ and frazzled, but when you listen to your body, mind and soul in unison, you tend to find that you can ride the waves in a more confident and balanced way, for you are honouring and respecting yourself on all levels.
Therefore, listen to your body, mind and soul now, in order to make the most of the opportunities that come your way in early 2013, for you need to be feeling strong, centred and ‘in balance’ in order to make some well-informed and potentially life-changing decisions.
Of course, with change and shift continuing all around you, you may feel frustrated that haven’t reached ‘level ground’ and achieved your goals. Yet, level ground isn’t your natural terrain, for you thrive in the rocky and steep wilderness of the mountainside. Of course, your mountain is a volcano, for the fire is strong in your heart, but if you are honest with yourself, you do not want level ground, for you know that you cannot thrive, learn and evolve unless you are expanding your consciousness and pushing your boundaries. Whilst you need to remember to stay ‘in balance’, you are happiest when in unknown terrain in life. The status quo bores you silly, and you quickly get itchy feet as you seek out something new.
Therefore, instead of trying to seek out the level ground that logically makes sense to you, but intuitively you know you don’t truly want, it seems important over the coming months to open up to embracing your true fiery, rocky and unpredictable nature. There is nothing wrong in being your Self! Okay, it may not make for a steady and predictable ride through life, but do you truly want this?
At the moment you seem stuck in a kind of no-man’s land, trying to maintain the status quo but wanting to break free and explore a brand new wilderness in life. Yet, hovering on the periphery is exhausting and it is keeping you from really living in either ‘reality’. Intuitively you want to let go and step into the unknown, but logically you can’t seem to let go because of the duty, responsibility and other layers of commitment that you have in your life. How to find clarity when you feel trapped in-between where you are and where you want to be?
Well, 2013 looks set to be your year for opening up to the Truth within as you embrace your role as creator in life; you step back from chasing rainbows and dreams and instead start to live consciously in the present moment. Such a shift from future to present is a powerful one, and one that seems to shift your whole energy dynamic towards living a life that is both enriching and fulfilling on all levels of your existence.
Of course, at the end of the day, only you can make a choice as to what happens next, but you seem fed up with hovering on the periphery and ready to make a choice…
It seems clear that the more you connect to your intuition, and centre yourself equally between mind, body and soul, the more you will let go of fear and doubt as you open up to living the life you love. This is not to say that what you have now should fall away, but with your changing perspective, it seems likely that this is a phoenix time of your life: a time to rise up from the ashes of your old life in order to be renewed and reborn.
As 2013 continues, the need for you to become One with the heaving mass of your inner volcanic power source grows in significance as you realise that this is the source of your inspiration, strength, courage and vision. Whilst volcanoes destroy, they also create, as from the ashes come fertile soils and new life. This may sound quite epic in dimension, and in many ways it is, for you are finally becoming One with All that you Are. Whilst you have intuitively sensed this for some time, you are finally opening up to the joy, bliss and magnificence of what this means in your life.
The more you centre yourself, the easier you will find it to ride those heaving energetic shifts, and the less you will feel drawn towards charging ahead pushing against the currents. Of course, there is little that could stop your spontaneous side (and why would you want to stop it, for it brings your life so much value, depth and context), but it seems that you are beginning to feel the true power of your wisdom and knowledge as you become ever more conscious and awakened in life.
The winds of change continue to gather momentum throughout 2013, but these feel inspirational and positive; the sky does not appear dark and the sun is shining. Of course, change often brings challenges, but with your perspective continuing to expand and shift, these seem unlikely to deter you. Listen to your intuition and remember to believe in yourself, for you are in the driving seat of your life now.
In a way, 2013 represents the new dawn following 2012, but there is a sense that you can expect to be blessed with many new dawns over the coming weeks and months as your life changes and shifts from the inside, out. With each passing day, there is a growing sense of enrichment, empowerment and inspiration rising up within you as you see the ‘bigger picture’ of your life and tap into the joy and magnificence of all that life has to offer you.
Feeling and being a part of the bigger picture, is a sign of you consciously connecting to the Universal Whole as you feel a true and integral part of the jigsaw puzzle of life. As your horizons expand and grow in all directions, you begin to realise that the more you open up to the Whole and to being your true Self, the more opportunity you bring into your life. You know that your gifts and your knowledge offer value to the collective and can also bring you contentment, abundance and happiness; of course, whilst nothing is set in stone or guaranteed, you are ready to embrace your role as creator in order to have the very best go possible at living the life of your dreams….
Your key theme for 2013: Breakthrough
Taurus
♉
Well, there can be no denying that 2012 has been an interesting and intriguing year for you! It seems that although things haven’t worked out quite as you envisaged, you have allowed yourself to ebb and flow with the shifting sands in order to make the most of every situation you have found yourself in. Of course, ebbing and flowing isn’t your true and natural state, for you like firmer foundations that are both tangible and palpable, but you have learnt an important lesson over recent months, and that lesson is to have more trust and faith in the flow of life to carry you forward towards living a richer and fuller life.
As a result, you have begun to expand your horizons and can now see a myriad of possibilities and pathways ahead of you in connection to what happens next. Whilst you are full of ideas and possibilities, you combine this enthusiasm with your level-headed outlook in order to make the most of every situation that you find yourself in.
With such a positive and empowering thread woven deeply throughout your life, there is a strong sense of enlightenment from within as you allow this energy to flow into all aspects of your being. It seems that the more you open up to the simplicity and the joy of being At One with your Self, the closer you grow to being At One with the Divine. In short, you have opened up your heart, body and soul to your Divinity and this has inspired you to seek out a new pathway in life. As a Divine Soul, you intuitively know that you are a part of the ‘bigger picture’ of life, and this is a source of nourishment and inspiration for you as it helps you to gain a clearer sense of your role and the part that you play.
Being Divine is not something that you take lightly, for your well-earthed sense of Self resists getting carried away with romantic ideals and notions of grandeur. Of course, you know that being Divine is nothing to do with ego; it is simply a state of being, but your caution serves you well, for it keeps you with one foot grounded quite firmly in the present moment, and this enables you to ride the waves of life consciously and with a true sense of self-awareness. Not getting lost in a romantic idyll is important for you, as there is a part of you that does love a good day-dream!
Of course, there is nothing wrong with contemplating what you want from your life, but it seems that, for the most part, your day-dreams are more of a passage to escape from everyday life rather than a collection of long-held dreams and goals. Therefore, by remaining grounded, you can channel your creative energy towards positive and well-focused shift in your life as you let the power of your inspiration guide you forwards.
There is a powerful theme of contemplation and reflection during the first few months of 2013 as you begin to tap into your inner power reserves. It seems that at your core lies the silent majesty of a beautiful mountain range, and whilst, on the surface, this image seems still and peaceful, you are well-aware of the energy and force present that surfaced enabling the mountains to be formed in the first place. In other words, whilst you may display a surface veneer of stillness and strength, deep within you, the power is rumbling and stirring, never silent, never truly still. Although you may not see your mountains move in real-time, you can sense the shift, and as your consciousness expands, you look set to tap into this power in order to create change and shift on all levels of your life over the weeks and months ahead.
Whilst this may sound a little unsettling, you seem ready for change now. You have been treading water for quite some time, and although you have always been aware of the power within you, you have never fully acknowledged it as you have sensed that such an acknowledgment would lead to you having to ‘own’ your power and embrace change! Contradictory, perhaps, but although you have the desire to upend the apple cart of your life, it often feels somewhat easier to leave the apples carefully stacked and in situ. In other words, you want change but you are not sure that you want the disruption that goes with it!
This is not to say that you are not more than capable of handing change, but you carry so much for so many, that you try to make choices that take into account the needs, wishes and expectations of everyone around you. Although you do not ignore your own needs, they are usually found hidden away at the bottom of the pile, and although this frustrates you, it allows you to be everything to everyone without allowing that misplaced sense of guilt of yours to filter into your consciousness. You feel guilt because you feel so much; you want to be the champion, the foundations, and the steadfast and resolute tower of strength. You want to be the one holding up the worlds of all of those close to you; such vision is admirable, but it seems important now for you to explore your true motivations for such actions.
There is a sense that you try to be everything to everyone because you resist trying to be everything to your Self. You feel it somehow indulgent or extravagant to give your hopes and dreams centre stage in your life; you therefore focus on others as you can lose yourself in their worlds. Of course, whilst this doesn’t remove your hopes and dreams, it does take you far enough away from your own centre to keep the guilt at bay. So, you try to be everything to everyone as a kind of distraction technique that keeps you away from your Truth, for it is still quite uncomfortable for you to stand fully and consciously in your power.
2013 is a significant year for many reasons, but perhaps the biggest theme is connected to liberation and self-affirmation; it is your time now to stop pushing your own dreams away in order to appease your misplaced feelings of guilt. You give so much to so many, and you need to start giving at least some of this to your Self. This is not indulgent, nor is it extravagant; you are a valid and significant human being, and you need to start acknowledging this now. Let go of the idea that self-acknowledgement is selfish, it isn’t!
Such a powerful and significant shift is likely to create ripples in the bigger pond of your life, but each and every ripple has a role to play now as you open up to the majesty and strength within, and realise that you are now ready to stop externally projecting so much and instead take your focus within. It is your inner world that ultimately shapes your outer world, and with those mountains within, it seems clear that once you can acknowledge and own your strength, little can deter you from tapping into the energy in order to re-shape and re-define your life.
Guilt is a powerful force, and one that can keep you submissive and uncertain in life, and yet, who makes you feel guilty? Who makes you feel like you cannot be your true Self? You already know the answer! This is not to belittle the power of guilt, for it carves out a palpable channel through most areas of your life, but the time has now come for you to liberate your Self from guilt in order to embrace a richer and more fulfilling way of living and being.
As you continue to open up to Truth over the coming weeks and months, there is a sense of you becoming increasingly aware of the ‘missing link’ in your life, and, as you begin to re-align and re-centre, there is a sense that you will re-discover a new passion in life. In a way, this is simply an extension of the theme of liberation, for it is through this growing sense of freedom that your creative and spiritual energies start to flow more freely and fluidly in your life. Once you step into this flow using your mind, body and soul, it seems that you will begin to regain your perspective on many different aspects of your life. At the same time, in the quiet moments, the guilt subsides as you connect to your strength, passion and power to guide you forwards now…
Believing in your Self is a significant step on your journey in 2013, for it is from self-belief that self-awareness and shift emerges. As you begin to acknowledge the role that you play in life and take ownership of your gifts and talents, that spark of light within will begin to grow and expand. At the heart of your mountain range, where the shift and force of the earth continues in earnest, rocks change and undergo the powerful process of metamorphosis. Your spark of light is a beautiful diamond that is forged from the heart of the earth and represents your strength, beauty, majesty and divinity.
As the diamond grows in size and stature over the course of the year, you may feel the urge to hide it away as you struggle to accept your true essence. Yet, this is your time now to embrace your beauty and your divinity in order to recognise that you are the vital cog in the wheel of your own life; you make the wheels turn and the engine purr, and once you can truly accept this and feel it, everything begins to change. What once seemed so important melts away as your focus shifts towards living the best life possible. Intuitively you know that this is not selfish, for once you are centred and Whole, then everyone benefits!
So, let your beautiful diamond grow and evolve now, and let 2013 be your year to sparkle and shimmer. Embrace moments that not only empower and inspire you, but seek out moments that take your breath away in order to feel the joy and the bliss of being you and of being alive. As you re-shape and re-define your life from the inside, out, you look set to open up your life now in some exciting and life-affirming ways. On many levels, the specifics are not important, for it is the ‘feel’ and the power of the intent that is important now. Feel your diamond, be it and love it; this is your year to fully awaken and to live the life that you know you were born to live.
As shift looks set to form a major theme on your path ahead, you may inwardly groan at the thought of more change and challenge, but you have worked hard to reach this moment in time. Everything you have been or done before this point looks set to come together into a magnificent Whole in order for you to expand your consciousness and realise that you are your own creator: you shape and define your life on so many levels. Of course, stuff happens in life which is beyond your control, but you do have a choice as to how you react and deal with such things. Your thoughts shape your life, and the more you take ownership of this now, the more you will realise that you are ready for change and ready to live the best life possible…
Your key theme for 2013: Liberation
Gemini
♊
2012 was a year of hope, expectation and general disarray for you as you felt the distance between the soles of your feet and the ground growing ever distant and far apart. You have been at the epicentre of change and shift, and this has left you feeling dizzy, nauseous and somewhat confused. As you look back on 2012, much of it is likely to be a blur as you try to reconcile and understand events, for life has moved swiftly, quickly and with some force. Looking back has left you giddy and looking forward has kept you off-centre and away from being more conscious of the present moment.
You would be forgiven for feeling frustrated that your life is more akin to a roller coaster ride than a more sedate Sunday afternoon drive, for the ups and downs of the roller coaster have shaken, rattled and rolled you on just about every level of your being. Emotionally, physically, spiritually, creatively and energetically you have been tossed about like a double loop-the-loop, and every time you feel the pause to try to get your breath back, the loop-the-loop starts again.
Yet, despite you stepping into 2013 in a somewhat dishevelled and discombobulated state, you seem wiser and stronger than ever before. You have faced your Self and your Truth, and although it has been far from easy, you have opened up to living your Truth on every level of your being. Such a path is not for the feint-hearted, but intuitively you have always sensed a need to face your fears and be your Self, for the days of trying to fit in, blend and be what others expect you to be are in the past. The rebel within you has surfaced, and this rebel certainly has a cause!
So, although there have been days when you have felt lost in the darkness of uncertainty and sick to the stomach of fairground analogies, you have found your faith in your Self and let go of the hand-rails in order to connect more consciously with the energy of the ride. Whilst a loop-the-loop on constant repeat is enough to make anyone nauseous, you have leant into the nausea in order to move beyond it. Although you may still feel dizzy, if you pause for a moment and step back, you will see just how far you have come in the last year.
As a result, it seems important to make a choice as to how you walk ahead in 2013: you can stagger and swoon from the exhausting and relentless ups and downs, or you can re-centre and feel the power of knowing that you have faced the challenge and are now emerging stronger, brighter and wiser than ever before.
2013 looks set to be a year where you continue to connect to your true sense of Self and start to find your way forward. Although the fairground ride may not, as yet, be over, the more you lean into the discomfort, the more settled you seem to become. In a way, it is your willingness to keep going that is enabling you to acclimatise yourself to the ups and downs (for, with the best will in the world, these look unlikely to stop). It is as though you are finding your piece of peace at the heart of the chaos, and the more deeply you connect with this, the more centred you become.
There is a sense that you have resisted letting go of the hand-rails for a long time, for you like to understand all that you are going through. The concept of going with the flow does not sit well with your mind, for you want to make sense of the concept before you let go. Yet, this kind of defeats the object, for to understand flow stops it from being flow! In other words, the more you try to understand your process of evolution and shift, the less it seems to make sense and the further away you grow from your Self. Whilst your mind plays a powerful and significant role in your life, intuitively you know that there are times to think and times to feel; and this is a time to embrace the latter as wholeheartedly as possible.
Letting go and going with the flow is enough to give anyone the heebie-jeebies, but it is important to acknowledge that this is not about becoming a powerless pawn in the game of life, it is a conscious choice of becoming One with the flow of life; it is empowering, inspirational and incredible. Although you have leant into the discomfort of shift and faced a great deal of your Self in the process, your reluctance to ‘let go’ has kept you on the periphery of your life, unable to fully engage in the process of being you.
What are you frightened of? What is it about letting go that holds you back? Well, it seems that the notion of letting go opens you up to the unknowable in life, and although your energy and soul are willing and ready to embrace the unknowable, your head feels otherwise! So, you find yourself caught between the formidable forces of head versus heart, logic versus intuition, and the known versus the unknown, in your life. This is a familiar place to you, for you have spent a great deal of your life walking the fine line between two worlds.
Yet, something has changed. Although this is familiar territory to you, you no longer seem happy to sit at the heart of this game of tug of war; you want to stop the kafuffle and take charge! For so long, you have allowed these two powerful forces free reign to dictate the shape and structure of your life; you have felt at their mercy and this has been the true source of the now infamous roller coaster of your life. However, as you walk through 2013, your sense of Self shifts as you realise that you do have it within you to stand up and say ‘no more!’.
Your heart and head do not need to be opposing forces, and the known and the unknowable do not have to be two separate terrains in your life. You seem ready now to merge your Geminian duality in order to re-empower your Self. Such a shift is significant, particularly as it seems driven by a genuine desire to become Whole rather than a desire to analyse and pick apart the dynamics. Of course, your natural inclination wants you to understand all of this, but intuitively it feels right, and this seems to be your guiding light now.
As your journey of awakening continues, it seems that by opening up to ‘going with the flow’, you are opening up to your Truth. As a result, your dreams and goals shift into clearer focus as 2013 progresses, and although you are still seeking out ‘the answers’, you have realised that the harder you push for these, the more unknowable and intangible everything seems to become. Therefore, you are opening up to the art of trust, something which you are all too familiar with, but your head versus heart polarity has previously made it very difficult for you to do. However, as you continue to merge all aspects of your Self into one cohesive Whole, you look set to realise that you already have the answers and you no longer need to keep on chasing rainbows in order to find what you already have within.
In essence, this is your time of breakthrough as you stand firm in the present moment and stop focusing on reaching out externally and towards the future in order to find completion. Although you may not be living the life of your dreams, you have a lot to be thankful for, and it is your recognition of this that starts to stir up an empowering theme of opportunity in your life. It seems that the more consciously you stand in the present moment and allow yourself to be, feel and experience the joy of the moment, the more the pieces of your life will slot together. This takes trust and faith, and as you embrace these wholeheartedly, everything begins to change as the spectrum of polarities in your life merges and becomes Whole.
So, although there is still a great deal of the ‘unknowable’ about your life in 2013, you finally seem happy to accept this in order to embrace the present moment and in order to live the best life possible. You have let go of the need to find ‘the answer’ before you take a step, and are beginning to trust the flow of life to take you in the right direction. Of course, you will never stop seeking out answers or meaning, for that is your way, and even though you may meander at times in order to satisfy your innate curiosity, on the whole, you are now walking a path to Self that re-aligns your mind, body and soul….
Whilst the fairground ride looks set to continue into the foreseeable future (for that is how you grow and evolve), it is how you choose to perceive this that matters most now. 2013 looks set to be a year of exuberance and energetic shift, but in a way that it both inspirational and inspiring. Shift often brings about endings and beginnings, and although you have already experienced many in your life, there is a sense that you will begin to let go of the beliefs and storylines that have shaped and defined your life for some time now.
Everyone has storylines, for this is how we give context and meaning to life experiences, and whilst many of them are life-affirming and positive, some are less so, and it is these that start to fall away over the course of the year as you begin to clearly see how they are shaping your life and, as a result, embrace the willingness to set them free. Such change is likely to create a stir in those close to you, but as your intent intensifies, it seems clear that you are now ready to step from the storylines that have shaped your life for so long in order to grab a pen and a fresh, crisp piece of paper in order to begin work on the next chapter of your life…
Remember that you are a unique being and a Divine spark; you carry this light within you. This light is your source of inspiration, passion and power, and whilst it is also the source of your living dichotomy of polarities (head versus heart etc.), it is a truly special and magnificent guiding light. It is time to fully embrace this now in order to feel the beacon radiate brightly within and without into every corner, nook, cranny and crevice of your life…
Your key theme for 2013: Balance
Cancer
♋
The winds of change have been creating quite a draft in your life throughout 2012; there has been a powerful and unrelenting thermal or current that seems to have dictated the shape and course of your life over recent months. Although there have been times when you have sought out a ‘universal draft-excluder’ to keep the chill at bay, on the whole, you have been open to the process of change, for you have felt ready for it on so many levels and in so many ways.
Whilst there have inevitably been times when you have felt like you are treading water and running on the spot, when you look back over the past year you can see just how far you have come in that time. So much has happened on so many different levels, and you are just not the same person that you were back then. Those twelve short and somewhat intense months were over in the blink of an eye, but their impact looks set to be somewhat more far reaching than you ever considered. Of course, there have been moments when 2012 has felt anything but short, but however you look at it, you cannot deny the intensity!
Although you have found yourself undergoing shift on most levels of your being, and despite this feeling unsettling in many ways, you have travelled with this change and let go of any resistance, for intuitively you have known that change is inevitable. You can fight and resist it, but you have been there, done that and bought the t-shirt, and now you are ready to re-empower yourself by embracing change and opening up to wherever this may take you in life.
You may be a fluid, water soul, but you do like foundations in life. As a crab, Cancer carries his shell (his home) on his back, keeping everything he holds dear within that self-contained space. In an ideal world, you would do the same, but you have not, as yet, found a back pack big enough to carry all your worldly wares. Instead, you have settled on finding your own little piece of heaven; a place where you can rest, feel safe and be you. Although this takes you out of your Self, in a way, your home is an extension of you, for it reflects your inner world in many ways. At the same time, you feel quite liberated feeling comfortable ‘parking’ so much in your home rather than trying to carry it around on your back, for this has given you the space and freedom to embrace this much spoken about change!
However, despite the strong theme of liberation and reclaiming your space, it is important to acknowledge that part of you that silently longs to be nomadic once again. Although your need for foundations keeps you in one place, your heart and soul loves the idea of being a wandering minstrel, living your dreams and embracing your passion for life. This is a powerful dichotomy to live with as it creates unrest and uncertainty within. On one hand you are embracing your foundations and celebrating all that they offer you, but on the other you are keen to be a free spirit. This is not an easy situation to live with, for it pulls you in different directions making it hard for you to feel centred and to gain a true sense of Self.
There have been times of your life where upping sticks and running for the hills was more a sign of escape than empowerment, for your life was not as you wanted, and it somehow seemed easier to try to run. Yet, 2013 does not look set to be a year of running away, if anything, it looks set to be a year of running towards something new. It is important to make this distinction, for running away is disempowering, but making a conscious choice to stride towards something new is empowering and inspirational in a great many ways.
So, 2013 looks set to be a year of empowered and conscious forward movement as you begin to discern your true priorities in life. Foundations and the wandering minstrel reside at very different ends of the spectrum of your life, and whilst they do not, at first sight, appear to sit well together, the time has now come for you to think outside of the box in order to see that it is possible to have both.
Being a free spirit does not have to mean letting go of everything you hold dear, and having foundations and responsibilities doesn’t have to mean that you can never go ‘off piste’ and let your wandering minstrel have some fun. It seems that your perspective is now under the spotlight as you begin to let go of your ‘either/or’ attitude; you are now ready to expand your consciousness even further in order to embrace the possibility that you can live the life of your dreams without compromising on the dream of your life.
Such a bold statement, but intuitively this feels right to you on so many levels. You have spent a long time keeping on keeping on, and whilst this has served a positive purpose, it has also been a source of frustration for you as you have tried to extricate yourself from the treacle of life in order to regain some clarity in connection to what happens next. By opening up to allowing all aspects of your Self to merge into One, you look set to stop fighting the treacle and instead savour its sweet taste. The treacle may feel as sticky and as immovable as ever, but when you realise that it is, on the whole, you that keeps the treacle in situ, you can begin to stop fighting it and embrace it instead.
Embracing treacle may seem a little odd, particularly as it is the force that has kept you maintaining the status quo for so long, but it is also the force that has guided you and kept you safe, and it is also the force that has inspired you to keep on keeping on! In a way, your treacle is your life force. It feels heavy because you try to pull away from it and resist its presence in your life, but if you start to honour ‘your treacle’, the whole dynamic shifts and changes, for it no longer remains the force that holds you back. You can then choose to savour the treacle, make a sticky toffee pudding or transmute it into something else!
Treacle analogies aside, as 2013 progresses, there is a strong sense of re-emergence in your life. It is as though you are breaking out of the chrysalis stage of your transformation and beginning to feel the sunlight warming your wings as you get ready to fly. Although you may not be sure of the colour and beauty of your wings, and you may not be sure what may or may not happen next, by feeling the joy of this transformative time of your life, you become able to capture the moment of pure magic and amazement which inspires you to let go of doubt and what if’s, and instead embrace the adventure.
Perhaps your biggest challenge over the coming weeks and months comes through a need to let go of doubt and uncertainty, for this has shaped and defined your life in many ways. Despite nothing in life being certain or set in stone, you have chosen to err on the side of caution by sticking with the familiar in order to reduce the ‘risk’ of the unknown in your life. Such a stance is both understandable and wise, but it has also kept you from embracing adventure, for although you have wanted to step into the unknown, your fear of what may, or may not, lie ahead has kept you as you are.
Of course, this has served many purposes in your life as you have built upon your foundations. But the ever present wandering minstrel has never been that far from your consciousness, and although you have, on the whole, ignored this free spirited side of your nature, his/her voice is growing louder once again.
2013 looks set to be your year to face doubt and uncertainty head on as you lean into the discomfort and work your way through your emotions and feelings. This may not be a comfortable ride, but you are ready now to break free from the shackles of the past in order to live fully and consciously in the present moment.
As you liberate your Self, your whole perspective looks set to shift as you re-focus on who you Are as opposed to what you feel you need to be or get. In essence, you are shifting from a getting/chasing state to a being state, and from this empowered and inspired space, you become your own creator as you begin to re-shape and re-define your life from the inside, out. Of course, the challenge for you comes through knowing what you truly want from life in order to create it, for you have spent so long carrying ought’s, should’s and the expectations of others, that it can be hard to centre enough to re-connect to your own Truth and sense of Self.
The more you connect with being, as opposed to doing, the more likely you are to feel the true power and awe of your inner strength and wisdom as they rise up within you like a pillar of light. Yes, change can feel unsettling and unknowable, but when you centre fully in your Truth, you can ride the waves of change with peace and knowing, wisdom and strength. Therefore, by acknowledging your power and allowing it some room to manoeuvre, you are honouring your true Self and allowing the different polarities of your life to merge together as One.
2013 looks set to be a year of meaning, purpose and joy, but also a year of simplicity as you cut away the clutter from your life in order to focus on what you truly hold dear. The more centred you remain, the easier you will find this process, for the Truth will surface if you allow it to. Of course, you may not always like what the Truth brings to the fore, but you are ready now to step beyond doubt in order to honour and embrace all aspects of your Self…
At the back of your mind, there is very likely a little voice saying ‘well, what if I make the wrong choice?’ or ‘what if things fall apart?’, and whilst this voice obviously has a place in your life (for both questions are viable and possible), the more power you give this voice, the more shape and form you give to undermining your own progress. One could say that you are your own worst enemy, for you give with one hand and take away with the other, but this strategy also allows you to ride the waves of life in order to survive, thrive and succeed.
So, try not to dismiss out of hand your little voice, but acknowledge the thoughts and let them drift back into your consciousness without giving them power. This will take practice, but you have come so far, that you now seem ready to finally take the helm and set sail to a brand new shore…
Your key theme for 2013: Expansion
Leo
♌
2012 certainly seemed to be a year of anticipation and expectation for you on a great many levels of your life. You opened up to your inner world in order to re-connect to your creativity, spirituality, passion and energy, and this willingness to dive deeply within re-ignited the fires of your soul. As you now warm your hands on the heat emanating from your soul, it could be all too easy for you to become complacent that you have done the ‘hard part’ and are now fully awakened and ready to ‘rock and roll’ when it comes to whatever happens next in your life. Yet, you are not complacent, nor are you over-confident, for you have learnt a great deal over recent months, in particular the wisdom of never taking things for granted!
Now, this is not to say that all you have worked for is about to come crashing down around you, but your realism has come as a refreshing support in your life, for you have accepted that by not taking things for granted, you are able to live a more conscious and awakened life. In other words, even though the positive shifts and changes are palpable and tangible, you have not just accepted them and ‘moved on’; instead, you have absorbed the experiences and grown from them. Such a shift is a big one for you, for it is a sign that your consciousness is re-aligning to Truth on all levels of your being.
As a result, as you step into 2013, you seem stronger, wiser and more ‘seasoned’ than ever before; everything, both within, and without, in your life has moved into sharper focus as you start to see everything from a new and clear perspective. Therefore, what once seemed important now seems less so, as your priorities shift and move towards living a simpler, but richer, life. The trappings of the modern world no longer take your focus and priority, for the riches you now yearn for come from within. Although having your needs taken care of is important, you want to feel alive and invigorated by life, and you want your ‘va-va voom’ to lead the way.
This is a powerful and significant shift that looks set to filter into just about every single aspect of your existence. Breaking free from the shape and structure of your life is empowering, but it inevitably leads to some level of unrest, particularly in those close to you, for not everyone is as open to change and awakening as you! Even though your consciousness is being titillated and tempted by the thoughts of new horizons, you can’t help but feel very aware of those around you who do not share your enthusiasm.
This is a potentially difficult situation, for do you compromise your own dreams for the sake of others or should they compromise their dreams for you? Well, there is no easy answer here, for life is rarely that accommodating, but it seems clear that you have spent a great deal of your life trying to be everything to everyone, and the focus now has shifted back towards you honouring your Self and trying to be everything to you. Only you can make the choice as to what happens next, but with your ‘va-va voom’ buzzing expectantly at the gates of the self-created bird cage of your life, can you really deny this any longer?
Seeking out more from life is part of the adventure of being human, listening to and exploring such delights is part of being a fire sign, and acting on them is definitely a part of being a Leo! However, you are more than a Leo, and the other myriad of different influences in your life keeps you from charging forth without a care in the world (although you have your moments!). As a result, your energy and spark is more tempered, and this keeps your ‘va-va voom’ safely tucked up inside the little bird cage. It is a choice, and it is a choice that has kept the peace and maintained the apple cart of your life. Yet, there are times when you just don’t want apples! Whilst you may not know what you want in their place, it is the restlessness that surfaces as a result of knowing what you do not want that creates the frustration.
Ironically, it seems that until you open up the birdcage of your life, you are unlikely to gain a clearer sense of direction, for your energies do not fare well being contained and locked away. The rebel in you wants out, and until you find a way to release your creative spark and ‘va-va voom’, the rebel will grow ever restless and mischievous. Va-va voom is defined as ‘expressing something that is lively, passionate and/or exciting’; it seems that your rebel is ready to upend the apple care, kick open the bird cage door and let your va-va voom lead the way!
During 2013, a strong theme of self-awareness emerges as you actively try to seek out more from life. Although you are not unhappy with your lot, you are not resonating a contented and fulfilled buzz either. It seems that you have mastered the art of treading water, and whilst this has served you well, you are growing frustrated at this now as you want a more awakened and inspirational existence. Whilst part of this could be attributed to the ‘grass is greener on the other side of the fence’ syndrome, intuitively you sense Truth in this as well, for you are not one to stand still for long, and yet, here you find yourself with the grass not only beneath your feet, but six foot high shoots all around you as well. So, the grass does look greener simply because you sense it is time for something new.
As you open up to the concept of self-awareness, it seems likely that you will begin to see beyond the green grass to the pastures and rolling hills in the distance. In fact, the more self-aware and awake you become, the more likely you are to expand your outlook and perspective in life. As a result, as the weeks grow into months, you look set to be given a wonderful opportunity to re-centre and re-focus on what you truly want from your life. The future may be unknown, but this excites and inspires you more than it worries you, and it seems time now for you to tap into your inner strength in order to embrace the magic of transformation and open up to a brand new dawn.
In many ways, your ultimate destination of choice is still unknown, for you are a fluid soul and your goals and dreams ebb and flow like the tides. As a result, your direction often shifts and changes over time, and although you may have an idea of your expectations and hopes, you know better than to set anything in stone, for your life simply doesn’t work that way. Yet, at the same time, where you are heading seems to matter less now as your focus intensifies more strongly on the present moment or on where you are now. What may or may not be around the corner is important, but you have learnt the value of living in the present, and this precious gift is one to be celebrated and respected, for it will serve you well in the weeks and months ahead.
As you continue to go through a fairly intense time of inner realisation, you cannot help but sense the outer shifts occurring at the same time. Although your focus is predominantly within, you cannot help but smile when you sense the impact that enriching your inner world is having on all aspects of your life.
For you, the path of awakening has been something of a magical mystery tour as you have discovered aspects of your Self and your path that have both perplexed and surprised you. You have realised that you are no longer running on auto-pilot, and you have opened up to the idea that you have far more say in your life than you have ever considered possible. Whilst these realisations do not bring guarantees, they look set to ignite the spark within even further inspiring you to move from feeling stuck between here and there, and instead feeling empowered to grab the helm and let your faith, creativity and va-va voom take centre stage.
Looking back on 2012, from its opening moments to its closing seconds, there was rarely a moment when you didn’t feel the presence of the theme of shift and change. Although 2013 also carries a theme of shift and transition, the energy and flavour of this feels lighter and brighter in many ways. You no longer have the appearance of a buoy being bounced around by stormy seas; instead your energy looks set to vibrate brightly as you let go of the residuals of doubt and resistance, and embrace the joy and energy of being and feeling centred and strong.
Although change is rarely easy, you intuitively know that resistance is futile; you cannot stop the shifting sands or the planets orbiting the sun, but this no longer bothers you as you have realised that there are some things in life that, no matter how much you worry, cannot and will not change. Therefore, by accepting and becoming One with the flow of life, you are acknowledging your own role in the ‘bigger picture’ of the Universe, and instead of feeling like a separate cog, you open up to unifying and becoming Whole.
Of course, such a shift is predominantly spiritual and energetic in essence, but once you have embraced this, then the winds of change are likely to gather in all corners of your life. Obviously your perception throughout this time is important, for you need to be open to the change in order to become One with it. At the same time, the more you can focus on using the power of your thoughts and the energy of your intent to re-shape and re-define your life, you can begin to move beyond any self-limiting beliefs or storylines in order to transform your life from the inside, out.
2013 therefore looks set to be a year of empowering and inspirational change; a time to let go of all of those aspects of your Self that have held you back from living your Truth. Whilst the definition of exactly what your ‘Truth’ is has yet to be determined, you seem ready now to embrace the magnificence and the joy of feeling Whole. You have faith and trust, and intuitively sense that by following your belief and intent, the details will take care of themselves. There are some who may feel that such an approach is fool-hardy, but you instinctively know that there really is no other way.
So, as the weeks and months progress, you look set to become One with the Universe and to feel the power both within, and without, in your life…
Your key theme for 2013: Whole-ness
Virgo
♍
2012 turned out to be a year of contrast in many different ways and on many different levels of your life: from your daily routine shifting, to your perspective widening, from your spirituality or consciousness expanding, to you making changes to your life path and environment. It seems that nothing has completely avoided the ‘2012 effect’! Now that you can look back on the past twelve months, you may be surprised at the amount of change you have experienced, for whilst you have always been aware of the influence of transition in your life, it has been hard for you to step back far enough in order to gain a clear view of the bigger picture.
On many levels, the reflection you see staring back at you in the mirror is not that same you that you saw twelve months ago. Although you may notice some physical changes, most of the changes are within, for you have shifted almost beyond recognition in so many ways. At the same time, many aspects of your day to day life have changed (and continue to change) as you have made choices and decisions that have taken you closer to your Truth. This has taken great strength and vision, for there have been times when you have felt like you are swimming against the current, and you have felt quite alone as those close to you have either been focused on their own agendas or lost in the chaos that 2012 brought with it.
Of course, this is not to say that those around you have not ‘been there’ for you, but there is a sense that they have not quite lived up to your hopes and expectations. As a result, you have been forced to rely on your own strength, and this has proved quite a revelation, as it has shown you just how strong, resourceful and motivated that you can be. So, although you have felt isolated and alone at times, you have also re-connected to the most valuable asset you have – you!
The phrase ‘keeping on, keeping on’ has proven something of a buzz phrase for you over recent months, for you have kept your head down and worked hard in order to keep moving forwards, onwards and upwards. Yet, whilst progress has inevitably been made, the magic and sparkle has been lacking, as ‘keeping on, keeping on’ feels quite mechanical and lacklustre in shape and form. However, 2013 looks set to bring a very different feel to your life, for it seems that your hard work and perseverance is about to pay off as you have more freedom and space to re-discover the ‘next dimension’ in life. In other words, there is a strong sense that you are now finding room to move way beyond the box of life in order to find a brand new way of living and being.
Such a shift is not to be underestimated, for it is multi-layered and impacts most aspects of your Self and your life. Whilst you have always been one to think outside of the box, the concept of throwing the box aside and managing without it is fairly radical in approach, for even though you have resisted being squashed into the box (you are not for squashing!), it has always been there as a source of the familiar; in a way, it has been your level ground or your source of reference.
As you contemplate life beyond the box, it may be hard at first to find a new reference point, but take your time, for a new reference point could turn out to be another box in disguise! In other words, it seems important to stop trying to seek out an external reference point (the box) in order to give your Self and your life structure, for you have been there, done that and worn the t-shirt. This is your chance to re-write the rule book of your life and to instead use your own Truth or essence as your in-built guidance system and reference point. This may initially feel very strange, for you are so used to being part of the collective flow in life, and to stand up unique and strong in order to express your own essence and to re-define and re-shape your life takes courage. Yet, you seem ready now; you have worked hard to reach this crossroads in your life, and although you (understandably), have some caution as to what happens next, intuitively you know that this is your moment to be, and feel, Whole and complete from within.
2013 therefore looks set to be a year of consolidation and expansion; and whilst it may seem somewhat paradoxical to have both at the same time, to you, this makes perfect sense! Your sense of Self is consolidating around your Truth and you are feeling and becoming Whole, and, the more Whole and centred you become, the more your consciousness expands. It seems that the more you step back from the storylines that have shaped and defined your life for so long, and the more you let go of the ‘box’, the more you realise just how gifted you actually are.
You have spent so long trying to be everything to everyone (including yourself) and, at some point along the way, you lost sight of your Truth. Although you have never abandoned it completely, life happened and distracted you. Whilst this could be said for many souls, for you it took you away from your sense of Self, and this is what turned your life into the more mechanical process of ‘keeping on, keeping on’. Intuitively you knew that you were moving in the right direction, and even though you found it hard to step back enough to see the bigger picture, you trusted the process. This dedication has paid off for you are now shifting your consciousness beyond the mechanics back to the energetic. Such a shift is both inspirational and empowering in shape and form, for it will enable you to take your dreams and goals to new levels over the coming year.
Of course, what you choose to do or not to do is ultimately in your hands, but the power balance within you is shifting, and this looks set to see you not only looking at the ‘bigger picture’, but also stepping from a place of ‘getting, doing and chasing’ to a place of ‘being and creating’. Although you can intuit this shift, you do find it a little irksome and flowery, for you do quite enjoy the doing and getting! Yet, this shift is not about abandoning what you love, it is about opening up to All that you Are, and using this to create the life of your dreams: your very own Heaven on Earth.
So, although there are times when seeing the bigger picture feels overwhelming and confusing, when you step back from the details and instead try to ‘feel’ the bigger picture, everything starts to make sense. In a way, this goes beyond words or definition, for how can the unknowable take shape or form? Of course, this doesn’t satisfy your need to understand, so try to step back from seeking out a logical solution and instead shift your focus and feel the solution both intuitively and energetically. It seems that the harder you try to make sense of this, the more confusing it becomes; sometimes you have to let go and feel your way forward instead.
How can you use this ‘feeling’ to your advantage? Well, firstly, stop trying to rationalise and analyse it! Instead, try to accept that your intuition is leading the way now, and although you may not be able to pick apart the details, trust your higher Self to have your best interests at heart.
As the weeks and months progress, it seems that it is your willingness to become fluid and free that will ultimately shape and define your year ahead. As an intuitive, creative, gifted and bright soul, you have much to offer, and although you are fed up with the mechanics of routine and ‘keeping on’, you can taste, touch and smell the tantalising opportunities ahead of you. Whilst many of these have yet to take shape, try not to focus too strongly on what lies ahead; instead keep your focus on the present moment and on living without the box, for the more conscious you can be in the present, the more likely you are to re-centre and feel that wonderful and magnificent Wholeness enveloping you like a warm coat on a cold, frosty day.
As you let go (as best as you can) of the details and the analysis, the bigger picture starts to move in clearer focus as the year progresses; like a tapestry coming to life with different coloured threads, at first it may be hard to make sense of any of it, for all you can see is random stitching and all of the tiny holes on the canvas. Yet, after a while, you begin to notice the pattern, and after yet more time, a wonderful masterpiece emerges. Of course, the only way to accomplish the feat of finishing this masterpiece is through focusing on the details of every tiny stitch, and that is what 2012 was all about. 2013 is your year for stepping back and seeing the masterpiece in all of its glory.
Whilst you may notice a slipped stitch here and there (only you would!), try to see the beauty of the bigger picture rather than tutting to yourself that one or two stitches are not perfect. In other words, don’t become consumed with the tiny things that can take you away from celebrating the masterpiece before you, for this can erode and corrode your belief and your strength. Instead, try to use the perfectionist within you to celebrate all that is right and good. Not easy for you, but practice makes perfect! You know only too well that your thoughts shape your life, so by focusing on all that’s not right with your masterpiece, you are not creating the most conducive atmosphere for positive intent and creation!
It seems clear that 2013 looks set to be a year for you to re-shape and re-define your life from the inside, out, as you re-connect to the magic and sparkle. As a result, many aspects of your life are likely to change over the weeks and months ahead, but you seem ready for this now as you are finally ready to recycle that old box and re-write the story of your life.
Such a shift may create ripples of unrest around you, and it may bring some doubt up within you, but the more you can centre your Self, the more you will be guided as to what happens next. By opening up to letting go of the details and expanding your consciousness towards the bigger picture, everything changes, for what once seemed so important, now seems less so as you seek out a new definition as to your true priorities in life. Whilst this could mean that your whole world is turned upside down, the reality more likely to manifest as a shift in focus and perspective as you turn your attentions towards living and being the best that you can be…
Your key theme for 2013: New Beginnings
Libra
♎
2013? It can’t be? What happened to 2012? Yes, it has been and gone, and you have ridden the waves, been tossed about by the currents and still find your Self standing upright! Although much of 2012 saw you immersed mid-cycle in the cosmic super spin of the washing machine of life, you have emerged surprisingly clear-headed and strong. Whilst there were times when you lost all focus as the spin became nauseatingly overwhelming, and whilst there were other times when you stood perplexed and on the periphery of tears and giggles at the sight of soap suds bursting out of the machine and filling the room like a comedy of errors, you still found your sense of humour and found a way to keep moving forwards.
Such resilience has surprised you, for you are your own worst enemy when it comes to acknowledging your own strength, power and vision. Yet, here you stand, well spun and sparkling clean from a year of spins, rinses and washes; and you look radiant! Yes, you may still feel the waves of nausea as change continues to knock at your door, but you now seem more ready and willing to trust the flow and become One with this change, rather than trying to cling on and resist, through a misplaced belief that letting go means giving up.
There were moments during the washing machine episode where nothing made sense, and there were also times where everything made more sense than ever before. Such extremes of realisation have been hard to handle, for you oscillated between clarity and confusion, and certainty and doubt in the blink of an eye. Whilst this would drive most souls batty, you somehow found comfort sitting in the eye of the storm, for the constant shifts allowed you to re-centre and re-align your sense of Self; you realised that by trying to resist the chaos, you have been denying a vital aspect of your Self. The chaos or the whirlwind is possibly your biggest asset, for when you embrace it, you become still and no longer feel lost in the affray. Instead, you move beyond the oscillation, and everything starts to make sense.
Of course, ‘making sense’ in this context is not about being presented with a list of ‘the answers’, for life isn’t usually that accommodating, but it is about gaining a sense of knowing that everything will be okay. Such reassurance may sound vague, but to you, this means a great deal, for you have spent a long time mid-spin, and this has felt like a lonely place; a place where few others dare to venture, and a place where you have been forced to let go of the storylines and beliefs that have shaped and defined your life.
Yet, you have had trust and faith, and have intuitively known that sitting in the eye of the hurricane or in the mid spin of the universal washing machine is exactly the right place for you. Of course, this has thrown many aspects of your life into question, for now that you have taken ownership of this somewhat chaotic energy, everything has changed. You no longer see your Self or your life in the same way, and as you step into 2013, you intuitively know that nothing will ever be the same again.
As a result, the year ahead looks set to catapult you towards a brand new dimension as you start to love the whirlwind. As you take ‘ownership’ (finally!) of your very own beautiful inner hurricane, you no longer get bounced around the room, but you find strength and vision from the stillness at the heart of this energy. For anyone other than a Libran, none of this is likely to make sense, but intuitively you can feel this, for being the hurricane brings together all of the many facets of the diamond of your life. Okay, hurricanes can be destructive forces, but this is more of an energetic (rather than a literal) description of the myriad of different forces that come together within you that make you, you. Being the hurricane is about centring your power and sense of Self in order to avoid getting thrown about by the chaos that frequently ensues in your inner world. Once you take ownership of the chaos, the dynamics change; for you are no longer trying to push the chaos away, but you are instead seeing it as a gift to use in your life.
In essence, this almighty and magnificent power within you has been lost in a state of confusion for quite some time. Whilst you have been aware of your ‘gifts’, you have struggled to find the best ways of expressing them in life. As a result, the chaos has intensified, for you have been unable to find a channel or outlet to express your beautiful hurricane!
As the year ahead continues, it seems that the more you find the stillness through the chaos, the more clarity will come to you in connection to how you can make the most of this creative and inspirational energy. You are a visionary, and the time has come for you to create a new vision of your Self, your life and your path. As the different aspects of your life converge and come together, it is likely that your dreams and goals will start to shift as you sharpen and hone them towards something more specific and well-defined.
You are world-class at having lots of dreams and goals, but the downside of this is that they become a distraction taking you away from your Truth and from your true priorities. Whilst you may thrive on having a long list of ideas and dreams, this frequently stops you from honing in on the dreams that matter the most. It’s not that you don’t want to explore these dreams, but there is a sense that by acknowledging them, you have to either embrace them or set them free. This has been a source of confusion for you, for to embrace your true dreams means stepping into very unfamiliar territory as change seems undeniable. Yet, you cannot let these dreams go, so, on some level, you want to make them happen!
Of course, the unfamiliar is unfamiliar, and who knows where it could take you, but to hover in indecision seems disempowering to say the least. 2013 is therefore your year to declare your intent and to set yourself free from indecision. If you decide to let those dreams go, then let them go, don’t cling on to them – be strong, be centred, and be the hurricane! This is your time now to let go of the clutter and to sharpen your focus and your energy in order to re-shape and re-define your life. Whilst, there can be no guarantees, you intuitively know that you are ready to instigate change, for you want to optimise and make the most of the stillness rising up within you as a result of the super spin of the previous twelve months. In other words, you don’t want to feel like the last year was all in vain.
Over the coming weeks and months, there is a strong sense of evolution and revolution for you. As your consciousness and sense of Self expands, there is a sense of you embracing the role of creator in your life and using the power of your thoughts and intent to re-shape and re-define your life. Although this is something that you have always done (whether you have been aware of it or not), this looks set to take on a new dimension now as you sharpen your focus towards a clearer and specific goal or dream. Up until now, you have had ideas and notions as to what you want from life, but pulling together the specifics has proved somewhat harder. 2013 is your year to step up to the mark and declare your intent, for until you are clear about what you want, how can you expect to make it a reality and how can the Universe assist?!
Keeping your options open is wise in many ways, but not when it fragments you and confuses you. Whilst there may be many things that you could do in life and be happy, the time has come to ask your Self what you actually want to do in life; answers on a postcard, please. Be honest, be truthful and be sincere; this is an inner dialogue after all, and if you cannot be honest with your Self about what you want, then you need to ask your Self why. Of course, there are others to take into account in the equation of your life, but this question is for you and you alone.
Being clear about what you want has to be the first step, otherwise you will continue to dance about in indecision and frustration not really quite knowing how to proceed. It is only once you have this clarity, that you can start to make an honest evaluation as to the possible impact on the equation of your life. In other words, stop trying to do things the wrong way around! Easier said than done of course, but take some time in early 2013 to contemplate your Truth and feel it rising up from within; this is your beacon of light that will guide you towards clarity and inspire you to embrace your beautiful hurricane as you realise that this powerful force is the key to your path ahead.
You may feel slightly uneasy at the prospect of embracing this formidable power, but it has always been yours! It is not something new, it’s just that you haven’t fully acknowledged it before. Now that it has come back to the fore of your life, it seems to be the driving force in the weeks and months ahead to spur you on when it comes to opening up to your Truth and to living the best life possible. This is your year to finally let go of doubt, what if’s and if only’s and to replace them with vision and belief. Whilst this doesn’t guarantee a different outcome, you already know the influence that your thoughts have on your life.
Therefore, by using the power of your intent and your inner whirlwind of strength, it seems clear that 2013 will be a year of you finally believing in your Self enough to take the next steps on the road ahead. Who knows where this may lead you, but you have had enough of being buffeted about by the winds of change and you are ready now to become One with them. As a result, what lies ahead seems even more unknowable and unpredictable, but you are, at last, still happy to let go of the stabilisers and to take a chance.
As you begin to use your powerful mind to reclaim your sense of Self and to re-shape your dreams, you look set to step beyond the limitations that you have felt holding you back for so long. Whilst many of these have been self-created through a fear of the unknown and the unknowable, you are ready now to move beyond doubt to a place of knowing in order to create a brand new way of living and being…
Your key theme for 2013: Embracing and ‘owning’ your power
Scorpio
♏
The concept of simplicity was the over-riding theme for 2012, and although you would be forgiven for feeling like your life is anything but simple, when you step back a little, you can feel the intention of this theme for you. You are a complex soul; always have been, always will be, and simplicity has not been about untangling your complexities or derailing your sense of Self. Simplicity has been the influence that has inspired you to peel back the layers of your life in order to find Truth and in order to find your Self.
Simplicity is that beautiful force that has been flowing into your life in the soft floaty silks of grace and the seemingly invincible armour of strength. In other words, for you, simplicity has been about getting back to the basics within in order to re-connect to your Self and to what you truly want in life.
At the same time, by stripping back the layers, you have been able to sense the power and the strength within you, and this has inspired you to open your Self up to the magnificence and joy of being a fluid and free part of the Whole; the Divine. In a way, simplicity goes beyond words and beyond doing; for it is a state of being. Simplicity has been your way of realising that you already have what you need to be All that you intuitively know you Are.
So, the path of simplicity has not been quite so smooth, and 2012 certainly seemed to live up to its name as a rambunctious year, yet, despite the chaos, the changes and the shifts, you have emerged stronger, brighter and lighter than ever before. It seems that simplicity agrees with you! Jesting aside, you have faced some long dark nights of the soul over recent months as things that you hold dear have been placed under the spotlight and been stripped back to the bare bones. This has been a time for abject and heart-felt honesty and sincerity as you have had to make some big decisions in connection to your life, your Self and your path.
There have been times when you have struggled to find the strength to keep on, but you did. There have also been times when you had to dig deep to find that last fragment of energy to keep going, but you did. Although, there were some challenging times, there were also many inspirational and empowering times as well; times when you felt your inner light shining brightly as you re-aligned to your Truth and your destiny.
As a result of your year of simplicity, 2013 looks set to be a year of continuing to let go of those aspects of your life which no longer serve a life-affirming or positive purpose. Stripping back the layers is rarely as easy as it sounds, but with your inner light shining brightly and your strength radiating clearly, you seem ready now to take the final steps in this process. Of course, only you know what still needs to be ‘stripped back’ or set free in your life, but the more you open up to this process, the more you can sense a taste of what lies ahead; and it feels wonderful!
Whilst this tantalising taster is unlikely to make the transition easier, it should inspire you to have the courage of your convictions when it comes to embracing Truth and to living the best life possible. Your vision is not selfish, nor is it over-grand, but there is a sense that you are still slightly reluctant to fully embrace your vision as you lack the self-belief required to see beyond doubt and to realise that your vision is your Truth! There is no right or wrong here; no one else can tell you if your vision is ‘right’. Of course, there are some moral and ethical guidelines (!), but your Truth is yours. The time has come now for you to stop doubting quite so much and instead start believing that you have it within you to live the life of your dreams.
Okay, so whilst it is wise to not get too carried away with the romantic idyll of dropping everything and stepping into the unknown with fate, hope and luck as your guides. It is also important not to allow your Self to get tied up in fear and doubt as these will prevent you from doing anything. You therefore need to re-focus on the simplicity: on grace, strength and on your divinity in order to move beyond the doubt; even though the romantic idyll may feel foolhardy and out of reach, don’t be fooled into giving up on your dream. 2013 is therefore an important year for you to re-shape and re-define your beliefs in order to see the bigger picture and to realise that if you believe that your dreams are beyond your reach then this is what they become.
Although you are open to the concept of positive thinking, you do feel quite irked at the idea that you can just think your life better. Whilst you can see the need to have clear intentions, you are not one to sit and patiently wait for your thoughts to re-shape your world. As a result, you can frequently find your Self at odds with your Self in connection to moving forwards, staying put or choosing another direction. You can quickly tie yourself up in knots as you try to push for clarity and the ‘answer’.
Even though your path of simplicity has taken your consciousness beyond the fear and the need to ‘chase’ the rainbows in your life, that little part of you that doubts the genuineness of any of the above, chips away at your Wholeness. This little voice often shouts loudly in your ear when things don’t quite go to plan, and you can often sense ‘little voice’ jumping up and down with glee when trying to disprove the theory of positive thought and divinity.
Yet, little voice is not some separate force trying to undermine you or trying to trip you up, little voice is a part of you, and no matter how hard you try to ignore it or dismiss it, little voice won’t give up. It therefore seems clear that you need to stop trying to push little voice away and instead embrace him (or her, or it!) back into your Self. This is not to say that you are now ready to throw in the towel and let the doubter win, but it is only by embracing the doubter than you can begin to find reassurance that you no longer need to hide behind doubt. In other words, by showing little voice love rather than disdain, you can bring him/her/it back into the fold and finally touch, feel and taste that highly coveted sense of feeling Whole.
All this time you have been seeking out Wholeness, and the answer has been in your ear the whole time! Little voice is a part of you, and now you can acknowledge this, you can finally let go of the final barriers to embracing your Truth and your sense of Self in life. Therefore 2013 looks set to be a year of profound empowerment and realisation for you as you open up to the power within and realise that you are already Whole, complete and Divine.
This feels revelatory in nature, for it suggests a breakthrough of consciousness as you set your Self free. Freedom and liberation, whilst great in theory, may leave you twiddling your thumbs for a while as you adjust to the ‘space’ that they create in your life; you may feel that you need to ‘do’ something in this space, rather than just allow your Self to ‘be’ in it. Once again, try not to resist the space, for this is akin to resisting your Self. At the same time, try to move beyond the self-created pressure in your life; whilst you may have people to see, places to go and things to do, don’t let this set the mantra or tone of the rhythm of your life.
Being in the moment and enjoying the feeling that living consciously brings you is a blessing, and whilst it may not take you away from the pressures of daily living, the less wrapped up in keeping on keeping on that you become, the less you will be impacted by the constant ebb and flow of life. In essence, this is an opportunity for you to stop worrying and living under pressure so you are finally free to make more informed choices and decisions about how you live your life.
So, as you continue to reach deeply within in order to re-centre and re-awaken, you are likely to see more of the floaty silk skirts of grace and the armour of strength surfacing in your life as you bring together the different facets of your Self into one beautiful and incredible Whole. As you merge together All that you Are, everything starts to make sense, and even the unknowable no longer feels intangible, for you are Whole, and when centred, you can rest in the moment and be joyful. In other words, when feeling centred, your need to seek out meaning, and your drive to push yourself harder, both start to melt away as you no longer want to chase rainbows; for you become the rainbow instead.
2013 therefore looks set to be a year where you re-connect to your strength and wisdom, and grow ever more aware of your Self and of your role in the Universal Whole. Change seems inevitable, but then again, change has always been a driving force in your life, for you cannot sit still and watch the world go by! There is a strong sense that it is your willingness to embrace change that will shape the weeks and months ahead, for the more at peace you feel with change, the more empowered you are likely to become.
Change happens whether you want it to or not: continents drift, rivers flow and mountains grow and turn to dust. Nothing is constant, and whilst this instils fear into the hearts of many, you are realising now that by welcoming change, you are welcoming your natural state of being as a fluid, free and intuitive soul.
So, although you may still be unsure of where you are heading, what matters most to you is the present, and as the weeks and months progress, you look set to allow grace and strength to lead the way. As little voice becomes One with you, fear and doubt look set to melt away, and you finally stop being so hard on your Self. At the same time, living in the moment and living consciously begin to instil a deep and profound sense of peace within you that all is well in your world.
Your key theme for 2013: Magnificence
Sagittarius
♐
As you land in 2013 by the seat of your pants, skidding to a halt from the dizzying spin of 2012, you would be forgiven for collapsing in a heap feeling exhausted at the level of shift you have gone through (both with and without the f!). Yet, despite the disarray and the feelings of discombobulation, it is hard to deny the overwhelming sense of strength that you are now emanating; it is as though you have ridden through the dark night of the soul and stepped into the bright sunlight of a brand new day, and this feels both empowering and inspirational in shape and form.
Although it may take a little while for you to adjust your eyesight as the rays of the new dawn shine down upon you as your inner world begins to illuminate and radiate, it seems clear that even if you cannot see the shift, you can feel it (and it feels good!). Rising up from deep within you is a combination of strength, vision, clarity and exuberance, and together these look set to take you on something of a magical mystery tour over the weeks and months ahead.
Towards the end of 2012, there was a strong sense of you feeling trapped or hemmed in as the walls of the bird cage of your life seemed to contract, and this consumed your focus as you lost sight of the open door right behind you. This happened simply because you became lost in the mechanics and the details of your life, and the bigger picture ebbed out of view. Whilst you love to explore and understand, you always need sight of the bigger picture in order not to stray too far from the path! At the same time, the bigger picture instils a sense of faith, hope, optimism and motivation in you, for it keeps you excited as to the interconnectedness and expansiveness of life.
Whilst much can be said for taking detours, for this is usually where you connect with a new possibility or opportunity in life, they can also act as distractions, taking you away from both the bigger picture, as well as the open door of the bird cage that you find yourself in. In a way, you have tied yourself up in knots trying to forge a new path ahead by taking detours rather than pausing for a while and realising that the bird cage is simply an illusion instead of an everlasting prison. As you steady yourself after the rambunctious twists and turns of 2012, 2013 looks set to be a year when you stop seeing the bird cage and once again start seeing (and being) the bird.
You are a free spirit and your energy is not one that functions well when contained; you need to touch, feel and taste an air of freedom in your life in order to fly like the bird and glide blissfully in the thermals as you take yourself off to new heights and new terrain in order to maintain your interest, enthusiasm and passion. Standing still or feeling hemmed in (like a caged bird) saps your life force, for when you feel contained, you feel isolated, alone, and disconnected from your inner strength, vision, passion and wisdom.
Therefore, 2013 looks set to be a year where you not only step through the open door of the birdcage, but a year where you extricate yourself completely from the concept of having a bird cage in your life. Whilst there will always be responsibilities and duties that call you in life, it is your perception of these that matters now, for if you see them as anchors or heavy chains that sit around your neck weighing you down, then this is what they become. Yet see them in a new light as responsibilities that bring your life depth and meaning, and embrace them with an open heart and mind, then they feel lighter on many levels. Of course, this shift in perception doesn’t change what you do but it can change why you do it. Perception matters after all!
At the same time, the less time you spend feeling trapped and stuck, and the more time you spend contemplating the possibilities and the expansiveness of life, somehow things start to change, for once you start opening up to the possibilities, more seem to come into your life. Such a shift looks set to re-connect you to your Truth and to your dreams, for once you step free of the bird cage, you will begin to realise that many of the boundaries, limitations and restrictions in your life are there because you have allowed them to be.
This is not to say that you have been deliberately self-sabotaging yourself, but there is a sense that it has somehow been easier to be locked in the birdcage for this has given you a reason to maintain the status quo and to avoid looking outside of the birdcage and re-connecting to your dreams. You have done this because embracing your dreams means leaving the birdcage, and although leaving has always been your goal, you have found some comfort in the familiar even though it represents much of what you resist in life; something of a paradox, but one that intuitively makes sense to you.
Therefore, as 2013 progresses, it seems clear that you need to re-establish your sense of Self and open up to acknowledging the positive role that the birdcage has played in your life. Whilst it may not have brought you all that you need, it has allowed you to re-focus on all that you want, and this is to be celebrated now. At the same time, by honouring the birdcage, you are shifting the dynamic away from regret, guilt or restriction to one of love, openness and expansion, for you are no longer giving the birdcage any form of negative power in your life.
Flying free looks set to be a powerful theme for you over the coming weeks and months, but there is a sense that initially you may find it hard to feel free, for the birdcage has been something of a safety net in your life. Even though you have been focused on being free, you have not, as yet, had to take a chance on actually being free, for the birdcage has meant that you can dream your dreams but cannot do much about acting on them. This may sound strange, but deep within you is a fear and this fear is connected to everything around you crashing down if you dare to take a chance and fly free. Of course, this is a possibility, but to stay frozen to the spot unable to move because of a fear of what may or may not happen seems to be very out of character for you.
You are an adventurer and a pioneer, and when you are feeling centred, the thought of being frozen to the spot feels alien to you for you are naturally one to keep moving in life. It seems that the longer you set up home in your birdcage, the more you focus on the bars rather than the freedom. As a result, you have found ways of being happy in the birdcage, and although this happiness was forged around a life which was not quite as you would want it, your optimistic spirit enabled you to make the best of the situation. After time, you grew used to the status quo, and with each passing day, the adventurer within you started settling for warm comfy slippers rather than hiking boots. In other words, you found a way to settle into your life and to do this you had to stop trying to expand your consciousness for it simply created too much unrest and disturbance for you.
However, although you found a way to keep on keeping on, the free spirit within you has never fallen silent, and as the weeks and months progress, your free spirit looks set to gain strength and momentum once again as you begin to reconnect to your Truth and to your dreams in life. It seems important to say that this shift seems to come from within you rather than externally; in other words you seem to be the instigator and not a pawn being pushed into change. This is significant, for it suggests a massive change in the energy dynamic of your life as you once again reclaim your passion and exuberance for life.
Your passion and your exuberance are important, for these are the forces (those flickering lights within) that ignite your confidence and zest for life; they inspire you to fly free and empower you to reclaim your true sense of Self and your dreams. This shift feels life changing on many levels, which suggests 2013 will be a year of change for you; yet this change feels exciting and empowering in shape and form, and even though the future is unknown and unknowable, you have finally realised that even if you stay in your birdcage, the same can still be true.
Whilst the concept of every path ahead being unknowable would fill some with dread, this knowledge looks set to inspire you further to make a conscious choice to stop waiting on the sidelines of life for the ‘right moment’ to walk past you, and instead to fly free and create your own moment. This takes courage and self-belief, and you have both by the bucket load; although there have been times when you have felt a million miles away from either, they have never left you but have sat quietly by the open door of the birdcage waiting for you to reclaim them. Like a possession that has long been lost and hidden away, it seems that you have finally found the lost property office in life, and the joy at being re-united with your strengths and true sense of Self is incredible, magnificent and exuberant.
2013 looks set to be a year where your consciousness continues to expand as you open up to living the best life possible. It is your year to reclaim your sense of Self and to reconnect to what you truly want in your life. In many ways it is a time of decision, for you may decide that the birdcage of your life is actually quite pleasant so rocking the boat seems foolhardy. There is no right or wrong decision here, but what is important is the need to make a decision.
In other words, if you want to maintain the status quo, then make a conscious decision and choice to do this; if you don’t, then allow yourself to look beyond the birdcage and open up to whatever comes next. What is important here is the actual act of making a decision; you have been able to sit in indecision for a while for you have been able to use the birdcage as a reason not to act. Yet, the longer you go on without making a decision, the less empowered you become, for you move further and further away from your true essence.
Therefore, by finally making a conscious choice, you are setting yourself free from at least one dynamic of the birdcage, for you are no longer allowing the birdcage to make your decisions for you. So, birdcage or freedom, that decision is up to you, and the birdcage can represent many different aspects of your life, your path or your Self. So make the most of this empowering year to set yourself free and to work with the power of intent to re-shape and re-define your life. Whatever decisions you make, remember that you are still the free spirit and the bird; nothing can take that away from you. So, embrace the momentum, believe in your Self, live your Truth, follow your heart and know that the only limitations that are now holding you back are the ones that you choose to place there…
Your key theme for 2013: Flying free
Capricorn
♑
Breakthrough and awakening both took centre stage in your life during 2012; whilst there were times when you felt a distinct sense of distain for these, when you look back, you realise that you had to go through the ground shaking, and the twists and turns, for each one took you closer to your Self and to your Truth. The concept of Truth has also brought some disdain and disquiet to the surface of your life, for it is a ‘buzz’ word and you tend to resist such trends, for you like to find your own way in life.
Yet, Truth is one that you haven’t been able to escape from completely, for although the idea of ‘living your Truth’ feels quite surreal and a little ‘fluffy bunny and new age’, at the same time, when you stop and connect to the concept, you realise that living your Truth is your real goal in life!
In many ways you have found yourself at the centre of a game of tug o war; on one hand is your well-grounded, no nonsense Self and on the other is your creative and energetic soul, seeking out Truth, meaning and joy in life. You have always considered these to be two opposing forces in your life, for you have struggled to work out how they can blend and be One, for they represent such different things; yet, they are part of the One, for they are both a part of you. Whilst knowing this and living with it are quite different things, there is a sense that over the coming year, you will be inspired to seek out a new level of inner harmony and balance as you merge all aspects of your Self in order to live a more inspired and creative life.
The twists and turns of 2012 were disruptive on many levels, but their purpose was to take you to that point of awakening and breakthrough where you felt able to reclaim your sense of Self and to open up to the full magnificence of All that you Are. Bah humbug! Your resistance to the somewhat flowery narrative is a sign that you are still trying to process and understand exactly what awakening means to you. This is actually a good sign for it means that you are taking the process very seriously, but it is also a sign that you are locked in your head trying to make sense of it all rather than feeling it and becoming One with it.
There can be no denying that you have faced your fair share of challenges, and although you can now look back and see how far you have come, you still carry a little hurt and pain from some of those experiences. This is only natural for you are human, but it seems that this pain is the force that stops you from opening up your arms and embracing the new dawn in your life, for you are still processing what happened and cannot find the stillness within to focus consciously on what’s happening now. In other words, there is a sense that you are looking behind you more than you are looking at the present moment. At the same time, with your other eye firmly focused on where you are heading, it seems that where you are now isn’t getting a look in!
As 2013 progresses, it seems important for you to shift your focus more firmly into the present moment. Whilst no one can deny your experiences and your past, and whilst these inevitably shape and define your present, they are behind you now. What matters most is the present moment, and the more you can embrace the concept of conscious living, the more you will realise just how empowering it can be. Although the flowery language of embracing your Truth, being All that you Are, and living consciously, grate slightly, in essence you are willing, ready and able to accept all of these now as you move through the time of awakening and instead celebrate the joy of being awakened.
Such a shift may seem small or even insignificant, but it is another sign that you are focusing on the present moment rather than on what lies behind you. Of course, this is not to say that you are stuck or lost in the past, far from it, but the resistance within you that stops you from feeling the exuberance and magic of your time of breakthrough is important to acknowledge, for until you open up your heart, mind and soul fully to the joy of the present moment, you cannot fully experience this joy. In other words, you have to open up to it in order to experience it, and you cannot experience it until you open up to it.
There is a strong theme of the unknown in 2013, a sense of you opening up to becoming a true part of the flow of life and letting go of any resistance by swimming with the currents as opposed to against them. At the same time, despite being a strong earthy soul, you look set to experience a new level of awakening; one that could take you to a whole new way of living and being.
It seems that the more conscious and awake you become, the more you connect to your dreams, hopes and vision (your Truth!), and this is leading you towards a major crossroads in your life. Well, crossroads may not be quite the right choice of word, for there seems to be a path to your left and a path to your right, but ahead there is no clear path at all. Yet, approaching a major t-junction in your life doesn’t have quite the same impact, so a crossroads it is!
Of course, with your vision and strength, you could choose to create a crossroads, for you have it within you to carve out a new path ahead if you so choose. It may mean dedication, focus and effort, but you have these in abundance. It may also mean having faith, trust and belief as you step off of the beaten tracks of life and forge ahead into the unknown, but even the left and right turnings (and even the path behind you if you choose to go back) are unknowable, for life carries no guarantees.
Now this isn’t to say you should just grab a stick, tie a hanky to it (for your most treasured possessions) and walk into the unknown (although of course, you can if you want to), but 2013 looks set to be a year where you take a much closer look at living a life that is more in accordance to your vision.
In reality, you have been at the t-junction for quite a while, although you have been making progress and embracing shift and change, there is something within you that it both entranced and bewitched by the, as yet, unformed path ahead. Intuitively you don’t want to turn left or right, and this is why you have been so aware of what lies behind you, for you have seen your life as more of a straight road. Left or right feels like a deviation from the path, and whilst going backwards isn’t an option, where you have been running on the spot for so long, it is inevitable that past experiences remain close to you as it is hard to create much distance between them.
However, your vision of striding ahead into the undergrowth and into whatever lies beyond is a powerful one, and one that looks set to grow in both stature and importance in your life over the coming weeks and months. Intuitively you want to at least dip your toe into the water of creating a new path ahead, for you are no longer happy to have a t-junction, you want a crossroads! In fact, ideally, you truly want a perfectly direct Roman road that takes you straight to your chosen destination! In other words, you want a new choice now, and by keeping the path ahead hidden from view, the frustration and the curiosity build within and create disquiet and unrest as you try to keep them in check.
So, what’s stopping you from stepping off the path and walking into unchartered terrain? Well, many things including duty, responsibility, fear, doubt and uncertainty, as well as a good sprinkling of feeling that the devil you know is a safer option than the one that could lie ahead.
However, despite all of this, the tantalising temptation of what may lie ahead hasn’t left you even though you have focused hard at keeping on keeping on when it comes to maintaining the apple cart of your life; you cannot help but wonder if there are other fruits to savour now. This restlessness is disruptive and it is showing no signs of vacating the premises anytime soon!
Therefore, in the early part of 2013, it seems important for you to spend a little time re-thinking and re-feeling your true priorities in life. Is the path ahead truly as inaccessible as you believe, or is it your belief that it is inaccessible that makes it so? In other words, this is your chance now to use the mighty power of your thoughts and the strength of your vision to see beyond the doubt and uncertainty in order to re-connect to the bigger picture of your life.
Whilst it may have been easier to avoid looking at the bigger picture for some time (for to look makes the restlessness more intense), you seem ready now to face the Truth and to make a choice as to what happens next.
The time has come for you to move beyond the restlessness and the longing and to make a conscious decision as to what happens next. T-junction, crossroads, Roman road or car park, in a way it matters not, for it is the act of choosing that looks set to shape your life now. Once you have shifted from indecision to a place of decisiveness and strength, the whole dynamic of your life changes.
Of course, this doesn’t necessarily mean that everything will then just slot into place with perfection and ease, but you are a realist, and you know that life doesn’t work that way. Yet, you are stuck at the t-junction, hovering on a precipice, waiting for those guarantees to come (in writing and witnessed for extra reassurance) before you act.
Whilst the path ahead may be hidden in the mists, and what comes next in your life is unknowable, it seems important now for you to become inspired and empowered by this unknowable nature of life as you tap into the power within and work with this to create and live the best life possible. This is your year to run free, and, as a result, 2013 looks set to be a powerful, magical, empowering and profound time of your life…
Your key theme for 2013: Inspired vision
Aquarius
♒
As the twists and turns of 2012 remain in 2012, as you look back you would be forgiven for sighing loudly at the intensity of the path you have travelled. Whilst you have come a long way in twelve months, this has not been all sweetness and light, for you have faced some long, dark nights of the soul and walked through some darkened misty valleys in the process. Yet, for every dark night and valley, there have also been beautiful snow-capped majestic mountain peaks and brilliant sunlit dawns, for you have experienced both the highs and the lows of the journey of awakening. Although this could be said for most conscious souls, there is a sense that you have felt this journey a little more deeply than others, for you have leaned into the discomfort and the pain of the process and re-discovered your Truth and your strength as a result.
Such an act takes strength and courage, for there were moments when you couldn’t see the light of the new dawn and you had to use your faith and belief to keep going. During those moments, you drew closer to your Self; you heard your breath quicken and your heart pound, but you continued to draw closer and closer to your Self, and by leaning into the fear and the discomfort, you stepped closer towards your essence or Truth. This has brought you treasures beyond your wildest dreams, for you have touched your soul and found your strength.
Your journey to Self has been an incredible one, and one that has redefined and reshaped your outlook and perspective on life. What once seemed important now seems less so as you look beyond the parapet and open up to the rich kaleidoscope of colours and life all around you. Intuitively you knew that the path of awakening was the path to Self, for your Truth and your Divinity lie within you. Such a realisation has brought you a new motivation for life as you touch, feel, taste (and think!) the deeper meaning of your life. This may sound quite heavy and lofty, but in truth, it is magical and amazing, for it shows that you have broken through the self-created barriers of life and expanded your consciousness in a way that inspires you to live fully and vibrantly in the present moment.
2013 looks set to be a year where you reclaim all of the tiny pieces of the mosaic of your life, and although you have a way to go yet before the final ‘completion’ of your masterpiece, there is a sense that you are now well-placed to make some informed decisions about what happens next. Intuitively you have always known that the tiny pieces can come together to form a magnificent Whole, and whilst you have long had a sense as to how to do this, it is only now that you can see a clear path ahead. Of course, with your need for exploration and expansion in life, it is likely that you will continue to add new tiles to the mosaic, but with your vision more firmly centred on the bigger picture (the direction), there is a sense that every new addition will bring something new and exciting to the frame.
Gone are the days of you trying to squeeze those odd-shaped tiles into your masterpiece, for you are now celebrating your uniqueness and realising that your mosaic is unlike any other. You are not square, you are you! As a result, the pressure eases on your shoulders as you let go of the need to ‘fit’ and to be something or someone that you are not. Whilst you have a vision of your Self, this vision looks set to change over the coming weeks and months as you let go of misperceptions and ought’s, and instead focus on being your true Self.
As the days turn into weeks, and the weeks into months, how you think, feel and intend grows in significance in your life. It seems that despite the sense of positive shift on many levels of your life, you still have a tendency to over-think and over-analyse. Whilst this is an integral part of your nature, there are times when the over-thinking takes you too deeply into the details and away from your beautiful masterpiece. Of course, the details matter, for every piece of the mosaic has a role to play in the bigger picture, and whilst up close it may appear non-descript and irrelevant, you know its true significance and importance. Yet, if you become too lost in the detail, your eyes blur and however hard you try you cannot see the bigger picture.
Balance is therefore truly important for you in 2013, for too much detail or too much ‘bigger picture’ can negate your progress. This is much easier said than done of course, for you are an airy mind soul, and the details matter to you just as much as the bigger picture, for you need to understand the intricate workings and mechanics. Yet, there are times when your tendency to analyse takes you away from your Truth and your Self, as you find comfort away from the vibrant and magnificent masterpiece.
In other words, there are times when the grandeur and pressure of your bigger picture (your dreams, goals and plans) feel a little too much for you, and so by becoming lost in the detail, you can take yourself away, escape from the pressure and find some respite for a while. Of course, this doesn’t change the reality, but you feel that it gives you some time to take stock and re-centre.
However, as 2013 continues, there is a sense that the need for such an escape strategy will fade as the joy of seeing and feeling your masterpiece taking shape and form dissolves a great deal of the pressure, and you begin to find it easier to accept All that you Are. This may sound odd to many, but you are not one to take your masterpiece for granted, nor are you one to sit back and expect everything to just slot into place. Whilst your strategy of resting in the detail will inevitably mean that the overall journey takes longer, for you, this matters not, for your priority is not about how quickly you achieve your dreams, it is about absorbing and embracing each experience in order to live the best life possible.
The year ahead looks set to be a year of continued awakening, but awakening in a new way, for you have learnt so much and come so far over recent months. Your willingness to lean fully into the process has seen you emerge stronger, wiser, brighter and lighter than ever before. As a result, your whole approach to shift and awakening has changed.
As the weeks and months continue, this strength and wisdom will inspire you to re-think your perspective on life and to re-connect to your Divinity and bliss. Whilst there are clear and obvious physical signs of change in your life, there is also a powerful sense of energetic, creative and spiritual shift as well, for you radiate a new light now, and this light feels vibrant, confident and strong.
With your energetic Self re-centring and re-aligning, it alsoseems likely that your consciousness or awareness will shift as you begin to contemplate what happens next in your life. On some levels, you have been treading water, waiting for the right moments to create change, and although you have not gone against the currents, by choosing to tread water, you have forged something of an inner dam. As your energetic Self expands, this inner dam looks set to dissolve catapulting you towards a new way of living and being, and although this seems to fit in beautifully with your awakening, there is a sense of trepidation within you as you wonder what on earth lies around the next corner!
Yet, if you paused for a while to contemplate this scenario, you already have a good inkling as to the change that you want in your life, for you have been thinking about it for a very long time! Of course, wanting change and making it happen are not the same thing, but opening up fully to the possibility of change moves to the top of your agenda as you declare your true intent and then set it free to the Universe. In other words, you have dreams and goals, plans and visions, and you have kept these closely guarded within, but the time has now come for you to think about setting these free, empowering yourself and opening up to the possibility that 2013 will be your year to make your dreams a reality.
You are quite a perfectionist at heart, well, in most ways, and this can place you under huge pressure to ‘get it right’. The concept of failure is not one that sits well with you, but the concept of failure in your eyes is about not achieving perfection! In other words, you have high expectations, and whilst you shouldn’t have to compromise these, there are times when you need to let your boundaries down a little in order to see the joy in the little imperfections. There is perfection in imperfection, but unless you are willing to see this (and accept it), you may end up feeling frustrated that your life is not the picture perfect reflection of your dreams.
This is not to say that you should give up on your dreams, but it is a gentle nudge to inspire you to see that life does not have to be ‘perfect’ in order for you to be happy. Sometimes, it is those little imperfections that make life richer and more rewarding. Of course, there are some imperfections which you cannot live with however open-minded you become, but these are not in the majority!
So, try to ease up on the pressure that you place on yourself; life is not just about ‘getting it right’, but it is about living, being and enjoying every single moment. Too much focus on ‘getting it right’ can take you away from the magic of the moment, and the time for you to hide in the distractions (the details or the perfectionism) is over, for you have awakened and 2013 looks set to be your year of empowerment, passion, inspiration and bliss…
The more you can let go of the pressure that you place upon your own shoulders, the more you can relax into the flow of life and the more you can feel the strength, power and passion rising up within you. If you can then channel this energy into re-shaping and re-defining your thoughts and your life, then you look set to embrace a more enriched and enhanced way of living and being. Whilst there may be decisions to make and new pathways to explore, if you remain centred and in Truth, you can expect a magical, wonderful and magnificent year ahead…
Your key theme for 2013: Bliss
Pisces
♓
There can be no denying that 2012 was a year of contrast; the highs and the lows were distinct and well-defined, and there were moments when you couldn’t work out if you were coming, going, lost or stuck somewhere in between. You may recall the analogy of becoming stuck in those few seconds after coming to a stop from spinning around and around on the spot. This ‘swoon’ moment gave shape and form to 2012 for you, and even though there were times when you were unsure if the swooning would ever stop, you somehow found a way to keep going.
Such strength is not to be underestimated, for although you may have been incoherent and dizzy from the spin, you still found a way through the chaos to the stillness within. Even though the twists and turns, and the weaving spin of the currents has left you discombobulated and a little perplexed, you have come to realise that the maelstrom of energies around and within you are all significant in one way or another. In other words, you have come to accept your maelstrom and this acceptance has enabled you to move through the swoon moment to a space of centred stillness and knowing.
2013 therefore looks set to be a year of embracing this stillness as you let go of any residual resistance and become One with the true flow of your life. Of course, you have no idea as to where the flow may take you, for there are many different currents that come together to form the Whole, but in a way, this is what makes it worthwhile for you, for you don’t want to end up in a sedate pond losing your momentum and your flow, you want to be a part of the rolling oceans, expanding your consciousness and exploring new shores on all levels of your life.
As a fluid soul, going with the flow should come quite naturally to you, but over recent weeks and months you have realised that going with the flow is a concept that you understand but it is a concept that has proven quite challenging to turn into a reality. The reason for this is connected to all of the different flows coming into your life which are not completely your own: your duties, responsibilities and expectations, as well as the thoughts and expectations of others etc, and every single one, yes, every single one, floods into your consciousness and instead of intensifying your maelstrom, they seem to have the opposite effect as your maelstrom comes to a grinding halt.
It seems that even you have your limits, and they have been pushed, prodded and poked a great deal recently. As a result, being fluid has felt out of reach, for you have been unable to be at One with your own currents and flows, for all of these other influences are pulling you in many other directions at the same time. However, there is a strong sense that during 2013, you will begin to realise that much of what you carry, whilst not yours, is with you by choice. In other words, you have consciously chosen those duties, responsibilities etc, and, the heavier they have felt, the heavier they have become. As 2013 progresses, it seems that you will be presented with an opportunity to re-shape your thoughts and to re-define these dynamics.
Of course, as you recover from the ‘swoon’ time of 2012, you may still find it hard to be centred for long enough to gain clarity, and you may therefore resist diving deeply into your own depths in order to keep your head above water. Yet, until you can reconnect to your own fluidity, strength and vision, you are unlikely to find a solution, for keeping on keeping on takes you further and further away from your Self. There comes a time when you need to stop and re-centre in order to re-connect with your Self.
Whilst this may sound onerous and challenging, it is your perception of the situation that creates this dynamic. If you can step back from feeling like a powerless pawn in the game of life you will realise that you are a bright, talented, strong and wise soul. Yes, it can be hard to extricate yourself from the tangle of life, especially as your own essence, by its very nature, is a heaving mass of tangles (the maelstrom), but your chaotic swirl of energies has a specific purpose, shape and form, and the more you connect with this over the weeks and months ahead, the more naturally you will pull away from feeling trapped and powerless.
So, by letting go of the resistance and instead embracing the flow, 2013 looks set to be a year of new discovery and new beginnings for you. Whilst many of these may be inner shifts, there is also a strong sense of change and transition in other areas of your life as you begin to work consciously with your true flow and open up to your role as creator and manifestor. You are a creative, spiritual and strong soul, and with your vision and presence, you have it within you to create your very own Heaven on Earth.
Someone wise once said ‘life is not about the number of breaths that you take, but it is about the number of moments that take your breath away’. You have got used to counting breaths as a way of keeping on keeping on, but as the weeks and months progress, there looks set to be a profound and powerful shift as you start to explore those moments that take your breath away. This is not about seeking out the thrill of the ride as an adrenalin junkie, but it is about reminding yourself of the joy of what life has to offer you.
The more you can open up to the joy and the bliss of living consciously and of embracing the true flow of your life, the more likely you are to set yourself free to live the best life possible. Although the swoon moments of 2012 are behind you, there seems to be a fear within you in connection to the confusion returning and the swooning intensifying; well, this is possible, but it seems more likely to occur if you resist the flow rather than if you become One with the flow. What exactly does becoming One with the flow mean? Well, stop resisting and you will find out! In all seriousness though, the harder you try to contain and maintain the status quo, and the more you resist embracing your Truth and living the life you were born to live, the harder it becomes to find an answer, for the further away from your true Self you move.
This all feels knotty and tangled, confused and disorientated, but intuitively you do know what you need to do next, for the more you embrace your own flow, the less influential the other flows in your life become. Whilst you are not one to walk away from your duties or responsibilities, their power and influence in your life can change, and this is a powerful focus for you throughout 2013. It seems that the more you can become One with your Self, the more you can awaken and feel Whole, and the more you can celebrate the true amazing and magnificent soul that you are. So, by embracing your true essence and opening up the flow of your own beautiful maelstrom of energies, you are likely to see your Self, your life and your path transform beyond recognition.
2013 is your year to reclaim your sense of Self and to restore the true and natural flow within and without. It is time to turn the adamantine spotlight of your intuition towards your own life as you begin to re-connect to your dreams and goals. Whilst these have never truly left you, the choppy waters and confusing flows have kept you at a distance from what you hold dear. As the choppy waters subside (as you become One with your own flow) and, as you rise up refreshed, renewed and restored, it seems that reaching towards your dreams now feels very natural and right.
There is a part of you that has always resisted the idea of flowing; that part of you that is more grounded and ‘earthed’, which as a watery soul, is quite surprising. Yet, although you may present an image of being fluid and free, underneath is layer upon layer of strength, determination, wit, passion and power! Who’s fooling who?! In a way, being the dreamy drifter has always suited you well in life, for it has meant that you can drift without ever really having to own your power or stand up and reclaim what’s yours. Yet, as time has progressed, the power within has grown harder to deny or ignore, for it is just as much a part of you as the water and the maelstrom.
Over the weeks and months ahead, there is a need for you to reclaim all aspects of your Self as you step ever closer to liberation and freedom. Yes, the drifter plays a role, but it is your power and passion that can liberate you now and re-connect you to your true and amazing essence. You are a strong and powerful soul, and by ‘owning’ this, you are honouring your Self and opening up the channels within to let this energy flow freely in your life. The more dams you create, the more disjointed your life becomes, so by dissolving the dams and loving your Self for All that you Are, you can set your Self free to not only live the life that you love but to love the life that you live as well.
2013 therefore looks set to be a year of empowering and inspirational awakening for you; a year for becoming Whole and complete, and a year for feeling truly at One with your Self. As you merge with your maelstrom, the swooning subsides as you ride the currents and create them, rather than cling on as a passenger. Whilst this takes courage and strength, you seem ready now to let go of the storylines and dynamics that have been shaping and defining your life for so long in order to live more freely and more in accordance to your Truth. Although you may not, as yet, fully know what your Truth is, this matters not, for it is your intention to open up to Truth that is important now.
So, by acknowledging that you are not rudderless, you take back the power, and the dynamics (both within and without) change. You are a vibrant and amazing soul, and the time is now upon you to celebrate this and to make a conscious choice to live the best life possible…
Your key theme for 2013: Stillness
