Message for November 2023
After a storm, when the rain stops and the winds ease, but before the birds start singing once again, there is a brief moment in time where everything seems to stand still. It’s a bit like the moment in-between an in breath and an out breath, where we are doing neither one nor the other. It doesn’t last long, and so few ever notice it, but it has the power to transport us into a different dimension of time and space, as the more we focus on the moment, the more it seems to expand into our hearts and souls.
It’s so easy to become caught up in the 24/7 busy-ness of modern life and this can leave us feeling disconnected and isolated from the magic of the world we live in. Living behind the closed curtains of life helps us to keep on keeping on, but it stops us from living spiritually, intuitively and creatively. We often find we just don’t have the time or energy to even notice these moments, let alone consciously step into them. Yet, we need this connection, otherwise we lose sight of the bigger picture, as well as ourselves along the way.
It therefore seems more important than ever to take the time to notice where we are and to pay attention. I had the joy of walking (well, rolling!) through an ancient yew tree grove. As I sat there, I started to see beyond the obvious and saw the silver threads of light flowing out of me up into the tree above. This ancient yew was cleansing me, and like reverse rain, the light was flowing upwards leaving me feeling lighter and brighter. I felt at one with the tree, and in that brief moment, I connected to the tree, offering healing and love in process. It made me realise that I want to live my life with all of my nature, not just a part of it. Yet, for most people walking through the yews, it was a walk, nothing more.
It’s so important to connect to the pauses and to truly see the magic of the world we live in, from the birdsong, the spider weaving a magical web, to the stars in the night sky. It’s our willingness to connect to this bigger picture that has the power to bring us hope, unity and love.
It’s time for each of us to choose to live life more wholeheartedly and to find connection in the things that unite us rather than focusing on the things that divide us. We are each unique individuals, there is no ‘one size fits all’, never will be. So, celebrate that individuality and find joy in the kaleidoscope of uniqueness that we live in.
It seems we are once again experiencing something of a ‘collision of moment’s’, a time where it feels like everything is happening at the same time and it can be hard to take a breath. It’s as though we are somewhere in-between where we were and where we’re going, both individually and collectively. We can feel as though we are in both places at the same time, but some feel as though they are in neither. It’s a confusing cacophony of thoughts, experiences and shifts, and this collision of moments seems more powerful than before, many layers of emotion are being peeled away including pain, grief, and anger. This is a painful yet cathartic process, but also deeply challenging for many as the lifelong habit of repressing difficult emotions can lead to pressure building. Intuitively we know we need to go with the process, but it’s understandable to see why so many try to resist. Yet, in the long run, resistance doesn’t work, so we can end up pushing against the currents, feeling isolated and alone.
There are so many of us feeling lost, so many seeking love, compassion, and connection. It’s therefore so important that we each try to reach out to others and to find ways to unify and unite. Although the cracks and division are all around, there are still threads that connect, we just have to consciously choose to look for them and become one with them.
It would be understandable to seek out retreat from the chaos, but as is so often the case, the only real way is through. Whilst we live in confusing times, it is a part of our story, and it has the power to shape and transform our lives.
So, we each need to be a conscious part of this journey, to connect to those in-between moments, the spaces within spaces in order to find wisdom, courage and compassion.
For now, and as always, I wish you all kinds of wonderful.
As you continue the process of letting go on all levels of your life, there is a sense that you are re-shaping and re-defining your sense of self at the same time. As a result, you are beginning to understand yourself, and your motivations, on a much deeper level and you are realising just how much of your life is a repeating pattern formed of outdated beliefs and cycles. Of course, you’re human, and it’s human nature to follow familiar paths, but you seem ready now to break free from the old in order to begin a new chapter in your life. It can be hard to step beyond habits and cycles, particularly when they’re not clear or well-defined, but intuitively you have a good sense as to what you need to do as you no longer want to feel stuck and tethered. You have reached a stage of your life when being true to yourself is deeply important, as you want to focus on your true priorities (your ‘I really want and need this’ list!) and explore your inner world.
Truth, creativity, and spirituality all take centre stage throughout November as you find new ways to let your compassion and spark flow freely and without reservation. It’s time to express your exuberance and energy with self-belief as you are no longer prepared to spend time simply keeping on, keeping on. Whilst there will inevitably be things to do that don’t fill you with joy, as life admin is unavoidable, but when you step back to look at the bigger picture, you will start to find context to the routine, and see beyond to the path of joy. Intuitively you know it’s time to prioritise your own needs more and to acknowledge that life isn’t just about what you do for others, it’s also about living your very best life. You matter; believe this now and set yourself free…
As you continue to go through a chapter of powerful awakening, there is a sense that you are beginning to feel a deeper connection to your heart and soul. You spend so much of your time trying to be everything to everyone else and this can leave you feeling drained and depleted in so many ways. Although you are a generous and giving soul, there sometimes needs to be more of a two-way flow, and whilst it’s not about ‘giving to receive’, there are some around you who simply ‘take, take and take a bit more’. Of course, ultimately it’s your choice as to whether you continue with this, but you seem ready to stand more firmly in your own power in order to re-establish your boundaries and your priorities.
You have spent so much of your life bending and flexing to accommodate the needs, wishes and whims of others, but unless you acknowledge your own needs and dreams, this process is unlikely to ever be deeply fulfilling for you. In other words, there has to be balance, and this sometimes has to come from you standing firm and say ‘No!’ if needed. You are a feisty earthy soul, and your strength is phenomenal, so this should be a walk in the park for you, but there is a sense that your connection to your inner power has faded away over the years as you have given so much to so many, but this connection isn’t lost, so shine a light within and consciously choose to seek out more balance in your life. It’s time to listen to your intuition more, to acknowledge your gifts and to realise that you matter. It’s so easy to get lost in the daily distractions of life, but try to take some time out over the weeks ahead to re-connect to your heart and soul…
Finding new ways to thrive and flourish continues to take centre stage throughout November as your willingness to gaze deeply within has enabled you to find more clarity, insight and understanding in connection to the choices you make and the paths you walk. You have spent so much of your life trying to be the person you’ve felt you ought to be, and it is only more recently that you have found joy in being the person you really are. On some level, everyone tries to fit in as it’s human nature to want to be a part of ‘normal’, yet intuitively you know that there is no such thing as normal, and it’s being unique that ultimately brings you the capacity for true joy in life. Yet, the way of individuality is often a challenging one as it means walking an unfamiliar path and consciously choosing to be ‘different’. However, no two souls are alike, so in truth, we are all ‘different’. It therefore seems important to re-frame how you see your individuality and to focus on the threads that bring connection and commonality, rather than on the aspects that keep you ‘separate’ from the masses.
Yes, you are unique, but there is also an innate need to belong, and there is room for being unique in belonging – you just have to connect to your phenomenal creativity to realise this and to find your own way to joy. So, this is a time of connection as you discover a new pathway to being you; try to stop over-thinking and over-analysing so much, accept that there won’t always be answers to the questions you have in life, and seek out connection, unity and belonging, as it seems important now for you to find peace on all levels of your life. You are a vibrant soul and it’s time to shine…
As the winds of change continue to gather momentum, it seems that you are beginning to think more deeply as to what you truly want in life. For a long time now, you have been running on the hamster wheel, keeping on keeping on, and trying not to think too deeply about the bigger picture. It’s not that you’ve been actively ignoring the bigger picture, but it’s just been easier not to engage with it too much as your dreams and priorities often feel like an indulgence that you simply don’t have time for. This might sound like an exaggeration, but when you close your eyes and connect to your dreams, you can sense just how much you have lost touch with your creativity and energy. Your inner twinkle is still sparkling, you just have to turn towards it rather than keeping your back to it. In essence, it seems that you spend so much of your time keeping on keeping on because that’s how you get from a to b, that you have stopped thinking about how to get from a to be (being your true self).
At the end of the day, the choice is yours as to how you live your life, but there is a sense that your soul is yearning for more space and freedom to explore, meander and create. Without even realising it, you seem to have grown so used to the hamster wheel that your time, energy, and focus is on turning the wheel, rather than stepping off, finding your feet, and taking a big, deep breath of life. Life is for living; it’s for expanding your boundaries and seeking out new terrain on all levels of your being. Let your inner light shine brightly in order to illuminate your strength, courage, and vibrancy as this is your time to turn towards what you truly want in life…
As you continue to connect to the quiet spaces within your heart and soul, there is a sense that you are realising just how much of your life has been shaped by ought’s, must’s and should’s. Of course, this could be said for most souls, but there is a sense that you have given so much of yourself that you have lost sight of your true strength and resolve. It’s within these quiet spaces where insight and illumination reside as they can show you the path to living a richer, more fulfilling life. Whilst there will always be things to do, people to see and places to go, there is a need for this to be more on your own terms now. Although you are a fiery, creative, and passionate soul, you seem so easily caught up in the currents of other people’s lives. This is understandable given your fluidity, but puzzling given your strength and fire. It seems you have become weighed down trying to be everything to everyone, but ignoring your own needs at the same time.
Your tendency to give so much is admirable, but you already know the importance of giving to yourself as well. Intuitively you know this, but sometimes a gentle nudge in the ribs acts as a reminder! It’s time to make some changes and to let those quiet spaces within bring you both insight and wisdom as to how to re-balance all areas of your life. It’s time to acknowledge that it’s possible to re-shape and re-define your life in order to live more in accordance with your true essence. The more you re-connect to your passion, creativity and inspiration, the more you will realise the need to step beyond those ought’s and must’s, as you need more freedom now as you stop focusing on where you feel you need to be and instead focus wholeheartedly on where you are…
Life is shaped by a series of moments that are often random, incongruent, and seemingly unconnected. You are gifted in being able to see both the finer details and the bigger picture in life, so you can often see these moments as both individual and collective, but you can also see the threads that weave in and out, connecting random moments and highlighting patterns and beliefs. In essence, you have the ability to see the tapestry of life from every angle. This is quite a gift, but it can also feel overwhelming at times as it’s not always clear if you are looking at the finer details or the bigger picture, as the bigger picture always has a bigger picture as it’s a part of the infinity of time and space. However, when you take a deep breath and bring your attention to the present moment, the overwhelm fades away bringing you both insight and wisdom.
There are moments in your life that have been extraordinary and special, there are some moments you try hard to forget, but there are many many more that sit in the bracket of ‘mundane’. Of course, this is the case for most people, but it seems important for you to acknowledge this as it is often these mundane moments that act as foundations, helping you to weave your creativity and wisdom into new avenues and pathways to explore. So, although the mundane often feels tedious, it also has the power to bring you context and insight, as it allows you to find distinctions between the routine and the extraordinary, helping you to open up to embrace even more ‘extraordinary’ into your life. November looks set to be a month for you to step back a little in order to contemplate your true priorities and reflect on your dreams as you re-shape and re-define your life from the inside, out…
November looks set to be a month for exploring the pauses in your life: those spaces within spaces where you are in-between an in breath and an out breath, where you are doing neither one nor the other. Of course, most of the time you’re not even aware of these pauses, but they have the potential to bring you important insights and wisdom. It is hard to captivate the true power of these spaces, as it’s so nebulous and hard to define, yet the silent gaps in the buzz and throng of modern life allow reflection, beauty, and creativity to flow. In a way, this is similar to present moment awareness, like watching the setting sun or seeing a bird soaring in the thermals. Yet, it goes deeper than this, as the more conscious you are of the spaces, the more you can tune into them and regain your balance and perspective. Life often feels as though it is moving at a million miles an hour, your head moves even faster in a cacophony of thoughts.
Living life in the fast lane can leave you feeling out of balance, but it also has the potential to highlight the pauses and inspire you to breathe more deeply into life. When you consciously step into a pause, your creativity ignites and your ability to think outside of the box magnifies. In short, the more you focus on the pauses, the more you will find ways to join them up and expand them, enabling you to channel your energy towards your dreams and priorities. It’s easy to get caught up in the busy-ness of life, but the spaces will help you to focus and re-align your heart and soul. This is a time to be creative and to find the self-belief to live your very best life. Take a deep breath and let your gifts flow free…
Cultivating self-belief and stepping beyond the busy-ness of everyday distractions both continue to take centre stage throughout November. You have spent a great deal of time listening to the inner critic that constantly whispers in your ear leaving you feeling as though you have no choice but to live your life in accordance to the wants, needs and whims of others. At the same time, your inner critic creates self-doubt when it comes to acknowledging your dreams and expressing your true essence. There are many reasons your inner critic acts this way, and whilst it can feel frustrating, it’s important to know that your critic is only trying to help and support you. Of course, this conditioning started many years ago, so it seems time to turn towards your inner critic with love and to reach out, showing your inner critic that there is a new way to live. Yes, this carries risk, but everything in life is uncertain. So, it’s time for you to tap into your courage and creativity in order to step onto a new path in life. Try not to fight your inner critic, instead take their hand, and reassure them, let them know that you are stronger when all of the different facets of your being come together as one.
As November progresses, it’s time to let go of the everyday distractions of things to do, people to see and places to go and instead start to focus on the things that are truly important. It’s time to realise that your ‘to do’ list is mostly comprised of things that don’t really matter that much: some are there out of habit, and some seem to belong to others. At the same time, some are present because it’s easier to have these as goals rather than taking a chance on reaching towards your dreams. Believe in yourself and let your intuition guide you forwards…
You have always been something of an adventurer in life, seeking out the paths less travelled and finding joy in the nooks and crannies of life. In order to flourish and thrive, you need variety, spontaneity, and an opportunity for growth, as these help to give you a sense of purpose. Yet, whilst this certainly resonates on many levels, there is a sense that when it actually comes to stepping into unchartered terrain, you are quite cautious and reserved. Your heart and soul yearn for freedom, but your head errs on the side of caution as you doubt yourself and wonder if you have ‘what it takes’ to truly be free. So, in many ways this is something of an internal struggle, but it obviously impacts all areas of your life as you hold back from your vibrant, passionate, and creative essence, preferring to keep it under wraps rather than shining brightly. Why? You are gifted and talented, and you have built up a wealth of knowledge and wisdom over the years allowing you to navigate the inevitable twists and turns in life with courage and skill.
It seems time to find a way to let your inner adventurer and freedom seeker have some room to breathe more deeply into life as to resist this side of you diminishes your essence. Intuitively you know you need to let your gifts flow freely and whilst life has offered you more than your fair share of challenges, try not to let this hold you back from grabbing hold of the moment and making the most of now. Life isn’t a straight path, it meanders and twists, potholes and blind corners are scattered along the way, along with the odd fallen tree, dead end and flock of sheep blocking the road. In other words, live for now; embrace the moment to be your true self. It’s time to live as wholeheartedly as possible…
As you continue to find ways to ride the ebb and flow of life, there is a sense that you have gained a great deal of wisdom and insight when it comes to the choices you make and why you make them. You love to be the person others turn to, you thrive when supporting those around you and even though there are times when you feel as though you’re not sure where you end and where others begin, this doesn’t stop you from giving, giving, and then giving a bit more. It’s quite hard to articulate, but there is a need deep within you that yearns for an opportunity to turn your attention within for a while in order to re-connect to your own needs and your truth. Truth comes in many shapes and sizes, and truth is unique to each individual as we each experience life differently. However, over time, your sense of truth and sense of self has faded as you have given so much of yourself to others.
You intuitively know that life isn’t just about giving to others, it’s also about giving to yourself as well. You are a wonderful, magical, and intuitive soul, and you are deeply aware of the multi-layered and multi-faceted nature of existence. It’s time to start re-connecting to your inner world and stepping beyond the ‘keeping on keeping on’ of everyday life in order to acknowledge your creativity, intuition, and innovation. You are a wise being and your intuition knows no boundaries, so why not use these more? Why not turn within and acknowledge your own needs in order to re-align how you live your life? This can help you to make sense as to why you make the choices you make, and it will also help you to listen to your soul as it guides you forwards towards a new and exciting chapter in life…
You have spent a great deal of your life trying to seek out insight and wisdom, trying to understand why things are the way they are. You are a deep thinker, and your consciousness is expansive, so your questioning often goes further and deeper than most would ever comprehend. As a result, you often gain a unique perspective which shapes and defines all aspects of your life. Of course, you have spent a great deal of time trying to make sense of the different facets of your being and trying to unravel any inner knots you have discovered along the way. There is a part of you that is on an almost constant mission to seek out understanding and although this can be illuminating, it can also at times be tiring as you never truly switch off. Sometimes it’s within the quiet moments where inspiration and intuition reside, sometimes it’s the ‘not looking’ that brings you answers. This isn’t to say that you should change how you live your life, it’s just a nudge to remind you of the power of stillness and of the need to not push quite so hard.
Life doesn’t have to be a constant quest for forward movement; it can also involve pauses and opportunities for reflection. Although you yearn to keep learning, try to find the wisdom in letting go a little, and seeking out the magic of ‘not doing’. See these moments as a chance to re-align and review your path ahead as you are constantly changing and evolving so it makes sense that your destination changes as well. It’s time to shift your focus slightly as you think about the bigger picture of your life; you are nearing an important crossroads, so you need to be clear about where you are heading and why. Life isn’t just about chasing rainbows, sometimes the real joy comes from becoming the rainbow…
There are times in your life when you feel as though you are in a little wooden boat being carried along with the currents of life. Yet, at the same time, you can also feel as though you are in a little wooden boat, fully stocked with supplies and anchored close to the shore. The boat that drifts represents how you often perceive yourself – being carried along by the currents of other people’s lives. The anchored boat is more of a reflection of your free spirit and creativity, anchored because you so often feel as though you are unable to be your true self. These two images represent a powerful dichotomy in your life, a sense of powerlessness and drift, and a sense of repression and being tethered. In some ways you know you can’t be doing both, but intuitively you know that it’s perfectly possible to do both as this is your lived experience! However, your perception matters as you often feel as though you drift along even though you create the currents, and you frequently feel anchored and unable to explore pastures new even though you are in the boat and can lift the anchor anytime you choose.
Of course, this little boat represents the hopes and dreams that are still waiting to be acknowledged. Even though you keep the boat fully stocked with supplies, unless you up-anchor, the boat will continue to represent ‘what could be’ rather than ‘what is’. In essence, it seems time for you to make some important choices, to realise that you are in the driving seat of your life and rather than feeling powerless and tethered, acknowledge that you are only tethered (anchored) because you choose to be. The boat is calling to your heart and soul to discover a new way of living and being. Stand in your power and have the courage to explore pastures new…
